Elizabeth Weir is Gay!

Guy Gardener

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
Watching the lost city.

JesSica Steen plays Weir.

Final episodes of season 7 SG1.

(Good times.)

Weir is wearing a thumb ring.

Doesn't make a lot of difference.

Might mean nothing.

Gay.

Opinions?

According to Google, women wear thumb rings to express their freedom and independence. So, given this does not have anything to do with homosexuality, and we know Weir was engaged to a man, I'm not sure what this thread is about.

I wasn't aware that a RING indicated sexual orientation.

Left or right earring on a man used to, back in the 1980's. Left meant straight, right meant gay. Not sure when that nonsense went away, certainly by the time Michael Jordan started wearing earrings in both ears.

As far as @Guy Gardener , it's apparently a really slow news day.

Well that was 1986, right about the time I decided to drill a hole in my left earlobe. I'd imagine some thought exactly the opposite re: left or right, like good ol' George.

The first I heard about this was on Flash Forward.

Google confirmed that it was real.

But a hundred years ago, if you're gay and you try to make out with the wrong person, you're locked up in to a steamer truck and thrown into a river to drown.

It was a safety thing.

LGBT representation is nice.

Stargate had none.

That's sad.

But now, maybe they do?

Fiance?

It's still possible.

Worlds.

Although...

Go'uld Queens are rare, but we see Go'uld pair off hetetonormatively all the time, and a lot of Gou'ld are wearing female meat suits, that seems way too common to ever be called rare.

A wedding ring used to indicate that you were hetero sexual and monogamous. In this brave new world, it might mean neither any more.

Her boyfriend gave it to her...

I just finished episode 3, so I saw the boyfriend scene, and what I saw there was a beard. Elizabeth sees this man a handful of days out of the year. She's supposed to be in Antarctica for the foreseeable future, but that's just what love in your forties look like. Dependability over passion.

Lizzy got him a security clearance, made a video tape and got it couriered to her boyfriend "before" she had left the planet. Seriously he's watching the tape, good bye forever, miss you maybe, and it's still a day until she splits for Pegasus.

No call?

BEARD!

I liked her as Jennifer "Pilot" Chase on Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future, where she had the most affecting death scene of any Saturday morning kid's show character.

Dr. Janet Frasier and Sam as a couple, has been an audience thing for a long time.

Didn't she and Sam live together for awhile? Or maybe Sam was mothering Janet's kid when Janet wasn't available.
