The German version seems to be coming out as planned (early October). The publisher got its copies from the printer today.

And they must really hate that they weren't allowed to do a different cover. It's almost comical how eager they are to point out that they weren't allowed to change it and don't like the cover either.

Not certain which gets read first, this novel or the DS9 one that comes out the same day.

I can't stand it. Been waiting for days for the Discovery book (I do reviews). There's a package at my door today. AT LAST! No...it's the David R. George book, which comes out the same day. *head-desk!*

According to Amazon, I won't get mine until after October 1, possibly as late as the 10th.

With this tying into the show as cloesly as it does, I'm not surprised they're holding it back until after the premiere. Especially since it does apparently have some minor spoilers for The Vulcan Hello.

I know of at least one person who has a copy and is already reading it. I don’t know how they got their hands on it, it may have been a promotional copy since they host a certain popular Treklit podcast.

I found Original Sin today at my Barnes & Noble, but no Desperate Hours.

Yeah, I should have had mine. All my review copies come at least a week before they drop. The new DS9 one drops the same day as the Discovery one and I got it yesterday. No Discovery book.

Twenty Minutes ago, i bought the german version of this novel :techman::hugegrin: Never had thought that the book is already out there. Looking forward to read it over the next few days!

The events in the book happen in May 2255. One year before the Shenzhou Mission to the Binary Stars and one year after the Enterprise's Talos IV Mission.

Captain Pike, Spock and the Enterprise have big roles in the book

The real name of Pike's Number One is Una

Is this the same size as most of the other Trek books, or is it trade size? The images look trade size to me.
