I think the demand IS actually there- but the margin of profit vs cost of manufacture, doesn't interest CBS/Paramount.
...though I'd think they would get a little boost if they ever released the blu rays in one big box around the holidays.
I managed to get TNG blu-ray for £75 which would have been around US$120. Which I felt was more of a reasoanble price for a 25+ year old TV show.
They've been released as a box. You can get all seven seasons for $187.

Perhaps Who1 meant a US box set release? Not that a US release would be any different content-wise, and it would also probably be more expensive, and the packaging would probably be worse. LOL...
And people wonder why the money isn't there?I managed to get TNG blu-ray for £75 which would have been around US$120. Which I felt was more of a reasoanble price for a 25+ year old TV show.
And you guys are so stuck on Blu-Ray, thinking it is the only thing that matters when really for CBS any profit the make from TNG-R and TOS-R on Blu/DVD is pennies---a drop in the bucket.
There will be DS9 and Voyager in HD, but it won't be decided based solely on how well Blu-Rays and DVD's sell. Right now, every time someone streams an episode of TNG-R in HD from Amazon or Hulu for free, CBS is probably making more on the episode than from Blu-Ray sales, due to selling commercial time, and the advertisers are probably paying a lot more per stream now that the show is HD.

CBS, right now, has 355 episodes of Trek in HD.
And approx 364 they don't.
