No, the Haters would,should an did complain, if the think tank had a star drive which allowed them to roam between Vidiian space and the where abouts of Voyager in season 6 with deft ease, that even if they didn't want to give over the secrets of their engine in trade, they could ave towed Voyager or ferried the crew all the way to earth in a matter of days to weeks perhaps that why OH why did they have to construct an artificial conundrum for themselves to fix up by getting the nasty buggers on Voyagers tail to frakk off?

Of course why would Seven go with the Think tank if she could go home, even if there was an entire episode about how she didn't want to go home until evil HoloBarclay convinced her that hiding out in the boondocks is for pussies because he wanted to pulp her and squeeze the nanites out of her to sell at market.

They wanted Seven.

If they wanted Seven then they should have given Seven and janeway something both that would have made the crew exchange amicable to every one.

It was stupidly greedy to pay les than top dollar for such high maintenance blondness.

If seven had become part of the think tank, how many minutes, maybe hours, would it have taken her to find evidence that it was the think tank trying to kill her crewnmates?

Such an engendering of badfaith was only going to see everything blow up in the Think tanks faces.

Ransom had a better chance of acclimatizing her into his crew after they kidnapped her because at least he was honest about being a dickhead, well after they caught him on fibbing, but he still tried to play the game with a serious handicap.

That would have been nice, them having Janeway choose between giving up Seven for the stardrive they knew existed and could get them home that much faster. Nice and borderline sadistic choice.

JANEWAY: Sit. Please. While I still question this Think Tank's way of doing things, there is a genuine opportunity for exploration. It could be the chance of a lifetime.
SEVEN: You're saying I should go.
JANEWAY: I don't want you to go, but it's not my right to tell you what to do. Until now, I've kept a close eye on your progress, helped you with decisions but, I think you've learned enough as an individual to make this decision yourself. Would you like to join them?

They never hid that they wanted her, and janeway considered the idea plausible because they didn't seem like assholes yet, and in all it never came down to janeway ordering her to stay or go, it was always Sevens decision. But Seven was making her decisions without a complete grasp of the facts. The foremost fact of which is that the Think Tank were assholes.


Hell, according to Janeway in the Gift possibly (right at the beginning.), she told Seven that once she felt that Seven was mature enough to make her own informed decisions for her self, then she could even return to the Borg if she really, really wanted to.


What if the Think Tank had wanted Kim?


Hell she cast that boy adrift to have sex with his cousins and sisters, so in all likeliness she must have some desire to allow her crew to chose where they stand.

Huh, I wonder if the reason no one seems PO'ed over the easy resolution to this episode's moral choice was because Think Tank turned out to be jerks whereas Tuvix was a nice guy. We'd probably have endless bitching about it if they HAD been nicer guys...

The screwer over is usually more of a bastard than the screwed over.

If the Think Tank weren't asshioles, if they were offering an honest deal (Not a ride home, but just something of value which wasn't contrived or a trick.) and Seven was willing to go along with the deal with no hard feelings, well, it's more like a dowry to an arranged marriage than slave trading, she would have been gone just like when Kes decided to leave with that studly in his little shuttle, Tom wanted to get out from under Chakotays Thumb, the Doctor wanted to pursue his singing career, or Neelix wanted to get laid.

Crew tried to leave all the time but GOD wouldn't let them.

It's a crappy story because the villain is see through who has to be roughted with a simple thump in the nose which earns no Villain points for Janeway, which is a shameful waste of Jason Alexander, although I did find it hilarious how he wasn't screaming and raging thunder.
