Doing a Daedalus Class Variant :)

Nice work, floodcasso2. You've brought nicely complex geometry to a deceptively simple shape without losing the appeal of the Daedalus's straightforwardness.

If anything, the secondary hull seems too fat to me. If that was slimmed down I think it'd bring more balance to the profile. Just my two cents though..

Dragging this old thread up from the ashes. Photography business has been booming, and home ownership takes up much more time than I'd like to admit, but I've been back working on this again. Ditched the entire sphere section, and started from scratch there. Here's what I've been up to!

I remember this. Very good work. This is the only take I've ever seen on the Deadalus-class that actually works. :techman:

Welcome back Justin! It´s good to hear news from you again. So, busy with real life? Yes, me to... Less and less time available for our hobby.
I believe that your version for the Dedalus is one of the bests that I ever seen, and that first rendering looks like a photo! Perfect bro! :techman:

It's good to be back :) I always come back eventually though haha.

It actually looks like I might even FINISH this one.. *gasp* hahaha, though now that I've said that, I'm sure something will come up...

While I could quibble with some of your detail I think this work is outstanding. It really looks good. This is the sort of thing that looks genuinely pre TOS (conceptually) and really shows how inconsistent looking the NX-01 is for the era.

Your design might also make a nice companion for Forbin's K'bash cruiser. :D
