Doggies, Doggos and Doggeroos!

...And by like...

I almost missed out on Sable. I nagged and nagged to adopt a dog and was finally given the go-ahead to "look". So I did. I went to The Animal Humane Society and checked out who they had. One thing I knew for sure, though, was that I didn't want a lab. No offense to lab lovers, but they're just not for me. I saw some beautiful dogs, but not any that really struck me as "I must adopt you!"

I went back two weeks later and found Sable moping in the back of her enclosure. I took her for a test-walk and she pulled and pulled the entire time. She was SOOOO excited to get out for a bit! It was love at first sight.

It turns out that she was there when I visited the first time, but I'd mistaken her for a black lab and walked right by. I'm so happy I didn't do that a second time. Honestly, my life would be very different right now had she not been a part of it.

They are awesome and are wonderful friends.

#AllDogsMatter

Sorry, bad joke in poor taste, but I really do love all dogs, even the ones that would rather bite me. I keep trying to help them see I'm not a threat and maybe, one day, they'll let me give them scratches and rubs. :)

I'm not generally a fan of small dogs in that I would rather have a bigger dog in my house, but I love that when I go to my friend's house her itty-bitty dog rarely leaves my side (lap, more like it). She's so cute! :D

^ I hope your day got better.

Bulldogs are Goldilocks dogs; they are not too small or too big but if we ever get another dog I’d actually like something smaller.

Doggy with his favorite toy.

That is adorable, he's grown up with that toy and it's in really good condition. (Reminds of being called out by my Brother-in-Law once. My little nephew had this ratty, much loved toy in his arms and I didn't recognise it as being a gift I had given to him when he was first born!)

I buy lots of dog toys for Buttons (Mother-in-Law's doggy). I get them at second-hand stores. No glass or plastic eyes and no stuffing beads..
