In that one, they discuss if it's too gay or not  and show that they're new Trek haters, which is why I didn't post it, knowing the reactions it would get :D
Yeah, I wasn't a fan of their review. Still, it felt like cherry-picking to only find three reviews and then only acknowledge the two positive ones.

I guess while we're at it, it felt bizarre when he was asking if there were "speeches" as if Star Trek has historically avoided the characters making speeches or something.

And considering the angle they're coming from, it's interesting that it still comes out (arguably) more positive than not. Take from that what you will.

Not watch it?
If they're like some similar channels, they'll half-watch it while texting people or something, make fifteen videos with clickbait headlines complaining about how it didn't make any sense and it was generally awful, say Alex Kurtzman is being fired over it, and then imply that they never watched it in the first place because they don't watch NuTrek.

So, yes, from a certain point of view.

My PP just expired. Such a shame.
If it’s good I might catch it later on but I don’t see that being the case.

I am prepared to not like S31 very much, however, I have not and will not watch the trailers to avoid predetermination. The few previews and images I've seen are shall I say, fascinating. Not always in a good way. Why does every version of Star Trek have to have a version of the dumb Star Wars bar scenes? Anyway, I'm hoping for the best.

I will absolutely watch it and I hope it’s awesome.

That said, it looks really REALLY bad in the trailers. Like, unimaginably horrid. I’m just hoping it’s because they are tailoring the trailers for general audiences.

I will watch it, but I will be honest, this is the least enthusiasm I have ever felt for a Trek project. I guess my expectations can only be exceeded then.

What already annoys me, if they did not tell me that this was post TUC pre TNG, I would never have been able to guess, there are no visual cues, at least not in the trailer. Which makes it hard for me to go through the looking glass and enter the fantasy world, as my brain is shattering the fantasy world into 1000 pieces.

I'm gonna' be honest here: After the trailer I'm hyped in a kinda' horrified, morbid way.

Like for Zack Snyder's "Rebel Moon".

I know I'm gonna' hate it. I know it's gonna' be trash littered with fascist imagery.

But it's not going to be boring. It's not going to be like the nth Star Wars project which all feel kinda' samey by now.

It's going to be complete, utter insanity, unique, fascinating "what the fuck is wrong with everybody involved in this", "who thought that was a good idea for a long-standing franchise entry?" once-in-a-lifetime-trash kind of bad.

And I'm all here for it!

It helps that it's a single movie - being a series would be grating, boring, stretched out. Nothing worse than spending 10 hours with underdeveloped caricatures of characters. Nothings is worse than being bland and boring.

But being compressed to 2 hours - while not good for the narrative - for which I have no expectation anyway - I 'm really looking forward to fast-paced, high-frequency wtf-inducing plot points & developments.

I'm not gonna' like it.
But hell yeah I'm gonna' enjoy the wild ride!

I thought it was rewritten from the ground up.
