Disenchantment

Hang on, I just noticed I never posted this one in here:

Been a year snce last year that i watched the previous "last" season./chapter of Disenchantment on Netflix. Really forgot what went on in the previous chapter.

also still cant believe they had to revive Futurama again with a new season on Hulu. Cant they just give that old show a rest already?

She looks like a targaryen. Is this from The game of thrones spinoff?
Yup, sure is. That was one particular character before she aged up and changed actresses.

To each their own. I was content with the show concluding when it did with "Meanwhile" but I'm also thrilled that it's BACK, BABY[!/Bender]

And for what it's worth, we already have a thread going on about the new season of Futurama.

There were 2 earths in the final episode hmm

I wonder if that was an animation error or what.

I haven't had the chance to watch the last batch of episodes. Hopefully sometime this week.

I loved the conclusion of the series. Was it too neatly wrapped up? Yes, but that's besides the point (and good timing with the brick, God!).

I figured Mura would be revived but I thought Bean would do it somehow with her magic, so I was thrilled that I was wrong and that it was instead Luci's wish from God that brought her back. That brought a sweet tear to my face. Luci was always my favorite character and that was the perfect conclusion for him.

I also don't know what to make of the second Earth. I don't think it was an error in the animation considering the second one's reveal was quite deliberate.

Nor do I know what to think of the post-credits scene. More adventures for Dreamland but in a different realm? Or am I just overthinking it and did it simply become invisible like the Elf kingdom?

I'm curious to see how a complete rewatch of the series will fare and how much of the later plot revelations were always secretly hinted at (some certainly were, if only in the "let's throw this out there now and see where it lands later" manner) or if it was made up as it went along. Not that I don't mind the latter, just curious to see how it all shakes up.

I gotta admit, I've given it more attempts than usual but this show just does not do it for me.

Yeah... I tried watching the final season premiere, and I didn't laugh even once. I'm not sure it's worth continuing, except maybe out of my completist need to see how it ends.

Honestly, while I agree the humor can be a mixed bag, I never really watched the show for its humor (although Luci always makes me laugh). I'm far more interested in the characters, the stories, and the worldbuilding lore.

I watched the first 2 eps of the new/last season. I love seeing how much Bean has grown. And I almost feel sorry for Satan. :D
Satan was wonderfully pathetic this season. I loved watching Luci running laps around him.

Well, I finally finished. That was very... uneven. There were some good moments here and there, especially Bean's words about love in the climactic battle. But overall, there was very, very little that I found funny; it was more just weird, when it wasn't being distastefully mean-spirited. A lot of things seemed arbitrary and unexplained, and it didn't come together well.

I'd say this was the weakest of Matt Groening's series, but then, I stopped watching The Simpsons something like 20 seasons ago, so it's hard to say.
