Yeah, I think there is no average fan of any age, we all like what we like, and don’t like what we don’t.
I’m a middle aged fan who got into the franchise with TNG and TOS movies, and genuinely love every series other than Enterprise, and still enjoy a lot about that, despite not connecting with it as much as any of the others.
Based on the assumption of older viewers preferring the older stuff, I would be an outlier, because I love Discovery and Picard as well as any of the older series, and Prodigy and Lower Decks each have a different place in my love of Trek that didn’t exist before. But looking at this board, or any where else where it isn’t a confirmation-bias-filled echo chamber, I see that I’m no more an outlier than anyone else, and fans of all ages enjoy, and dislike, all of the shows.
