Did you like T.J. Hooker or Boston Legal?

I love TJ Hooker for sentimental reasons. I remember watching it when I was a kid, together with my dad. I haven't watched it ever since, but it was loads of fun. Cheesy? Sure - but most of all it was funny, entertaining, and diverting.

Boston Legal is a stroke of genius! Simple as that. :techman:

I'm not a big TJ Hooker fan but I really like Boston Legal - Shatner is excellent the role of Denny Crane - probably his best ever performances.

Haha! Broccoli, thanks for posting the youtube clip of the credits. I'd forgotten Sgt. Hooker was up there with Capt. Kirk for for being a man of action. :D

^ Oh yeah. If they ever do make that movie adaptation, I can see it going only one of two ways: A straight-up farce like the Siller/Wilson Starsky & Hutch or a complete revamp like Farrell/Foxx Miami Vice.

I've never seen Boston Legal but did watch TJ Hooker back in the day. The clip was great, I'd forgotten that he did the same little Kirk containment/tactical dodge sort of run. How could you not love that.

Boston Legal by far...though I do TJ HOOKER on DVD. But the plots to TJ are a bit dated, and they don't hold up. Boston Legal was a great show, and Shatner proved that he is a great actor in his own right.

The year he beat Alan Alda was awesome because Alda is such an arrogant as-hole.

I remember once I was in Germany, and I was channel-surfing, and they've got a lot of American TV shows that are dubbed into German. So, I'm watching T. J. Hooker in German, and there's a chase scene (on foot), and the perp dives out a second story window trying to escape. Hooker's a little ways behind, but he's got that look in his eyes. I turn to my brother who's watching it with me, and I say, "He's so going out that window!" And out he dives, headfirst, and lands on something soft, of course. Even through the language barrier, you just know. Some things are universal.

Does anybody remember that movie, Showtime? For those who don't, it was a comedy starring Eddie Murphy and Robert DeNiro as two policemen who are pegged to star in a reality show about cops. It was a pretty lame movie, but its one bright spot was when the producers of the reality show brought in William Shatner to help coach them on how to be more exciting policemen (based on his T. J. Hooker experience). Hilarity ensues.

I liked them both. The earlier seasons of both are the better ones. They have some great actors on both that help the show rise above the quality of the scripts they were given at times. Shatner definitely has a comedic talent that helps things along.

T.J. Hooker. Seems Bill was a different man back then. He looked like he really enjoyed acting on Hooker. This Boston Legal thing, I don't know, it's like he's playing a parody of himself.
