Did you have a Favorite SB Commercial this Year?

What a disappointing year for Commercials wasn't it? I think there were four that I really liked, which were the Casket doritos, Betty White, the take off on Groundhog Day, and maybe the Jack in the Box one. Ask me a month from now if I remember any of these commercials and I would probably say no. Maybe it's a sign of the times, but this was a very disappointing year.

Slim pickings this year, but I laughed at the Doritos ad where the little kid bosses around his mother's date.

eh, they really kinda sucked, not much worth mentioning. The Doritos one with "Don't touch my mamma, don't touch my Doritos" was kinda amusing, though. A few decent Bud light ones, not much else.

All the drama about that Tim Tebow one, and it totally sucked. Didn't say much, didn't express the story well, mother mumbled, and only the website at the end even explained what the hell they were talking about. Lame.

I laughed at quite a few of the commercials. The violin-playing beaver for Monster was one of the best. We also got some nice movie trailers for Prince of Persia, Robin Hood, and a couple others.

The Doritos one with the little kid was best. Second? No idea, Punxsatawney Polamalu maybe.

Another favorite I just remembered: Charles Barkley's Taco Bell rhymes.

Not sure. I was walking through a store and a big screen TV had some really old guys covering the Who. I didn't stop to watch the whole thing, but I imagine it was some sort of Viagra commercial?

Definitely the Worst Super Bowl Party Ever ad with Letterman, Leno, and Oprah.

Not really, There were a handful of good ones but nothing I'll be watching on YouTube in five years.

Dave, Oprah and Jay was my favorite, followed by the Mr. Burns Coke ad, and a cool ad for Pittsburgh Penguins that aired locally.

Others that were good were Betty White and Abe Vigoda, Punxsutawney Polamalu (What the hell was it advertising, again?), and Larry Bird taking the Big Mac. That's about it.

I hated that fucking "Green Police" ad. What an over the top piece of crap. If it was a joke, it wasn't funny.

Most of the commercials this year could have been salvaged if they had been shorter. Most of them just ran way too long before making their point.

That said, my favorite commercial was the eTrade baby commercial with the girl baby at the end going, "Milk-a-whaaaa?"
