DEFIANCE Season 3

So that's two seasons now where the town has been besieged at the end of the season, at this rate what happens next season haha?

Man....this felt more like a SERIES finale....and done really well...like they spent all they had on the FX budget.

Creative engine room and awesome looking warping out of orbit, with the trails seen by earth.

If they had to go, they did it in style.and if not....well, that will be interesting

I wonder if this really will be the last we see of Nolan and Yewll.
I knew as soon as Nolan's gun went info the spinning blade thing that the fight would end with one of them going into it. You don't introduce something like that into a fight scene without at least one person going in.
I really liked the scene between Stahma and Amanda.
Datak saving his family was great. It was inevitable, but still a great moment.
I'm kind of surprised Irisa became Lawkeeper, I would have Berlin given her experience.
It was kind of nice, after all of the death and destruction to see to see them find a peaceful solution. It wouldn't have bothered me if they did blow up the ship, but it was nice to see them find a different way, even if it did possibly cost us Yewll and Nolan.

Lol, I knew someone was going to get tossed into that reactor the minute Nolan entered the room and you could see the lack of wall or railing or anything.

Well wtf was that.

I would have just blown them all to pulp.

If it's a series finale, okay, we can all think about Nolan out there in the great beyond, waking up some purple girls for company. Looking for another planet with nothing to eat on it but cows.

Great finale, hit the right emotional cords, all the cast got a moment to shine, and I have not the slightest idea where they'll go from here.

In a cost-cutting move, SyFy will merge their Friday shows into one. Nolan becomes a Killjoy and they go after the Raza.

When do we find out if it's been renewed?

I'd like a super political VC season, Datak can get elected to something. Let's open it 2 years forward, Irisa has a kid with Alak and the baby is running about. Defiance is bigger and more prosperous, the VC has pumped a bunch of funds into it in recognition of being saved from the purple people eaters. Machinations.

It took the Votan's 5000 years to get to Earth.

1. They travelled through real space at relativistic speeds.

2. Even at 3 times light speed, the Votan system was still 15,000 light years away.

3. They travelled through a version of sub space that minics the properties of time dilation.

UM.

Was the only one who saw that Stargate behind Earth's moon?

Irisa has a kid with Alak and the baby is running about.

Okay, why does everyone keep saying Irisa and Alak have a thing going on when I have yet to see any evidence of it.

He wants someone to look after his kid.

There's been two instances where he looked at her mooneyed like the perfect mother for his child, who he could have sex with.

Maybe Alac is slightly more civilized than his father, but he's still his Mother's son.

He would be better off getting another Andina.

Not necessarly. Irisa could much better defend the family . Alak is like Captain Picard in the 1st season of TNG. icard surrendered the ship 4 times then, and Alak lost the baby twice.

I think Alak could provide more stable emotional support. ANd he can learn from Irisa (and possibly Nolan if he comes back) how NOT to be a dad.

Well, they could do a commercial like the Flash-Arrow in Thunderdome, which was like 3 minutes and totally non-canon...but a lot of fun, and more excited for the rest of the season.

If they could do a longer non-canon video, that'd be even better

I wonder if this really will be the last we see of Nolan and Yewll.

Well, if the show is cancelled, then it definitely will be the last we see of them.

But I think this ending wil open some doors for next season. Perhaps a new race of aliens that Nolan encounters comes to earth. Or some journey to find a way home

And for the actress who plays Yewell, the set up will at least allow her to have more dialogue in the show , and less need for make-up (theoretically).

I just realized something. The Omec, the way their ship is designed and how most of them are in those suspended animation cells...

..Do you thing it's a reference to Lifeforce, that 80s sci-fi vampire flick?
