“Hello name is Dr. Darshana Ciana I am the head of the metamorphosis team you have just made it through the first stage of the Symbiot Companion Metamorphosis & Regeneration; Your doing fine I’m going to ask you two questions first do you know why you are here and who are you” Seanna Troi is disorientated and does not seem to understand Dr. Darshana Ciana questions after a few moments she asks her patient again
“Who are you please tell me your name and what is your purpose here?” asks Dr. Ciana “Who am I? Who Am I? WHO Am I? WHO AM I?” says the New Seanna Troi. “I AM SEANNA PHOENIX! She answers “When one will become two and one, when will be as one with Vextra?” “Then will be of three minds one must become two an in turn three and its factor SIX; when will I be as Vextra and Vextra as I?”

“Soon” answers Dr. Ciana “We are only a third of what we should be?” asks Seanna “Yes” says Dr. Ciana “Next is the memories of the past Symbiot Companions, a medical team is ready to take you to the outer core Symbiot Companions Past then to the inner core for integration with Vextra” answers the doctor Seanna Phoenix glow increases and she starts to levitate “YES, YES, YES then we will be whole Seanna Phoenix Vextra!” she passes out the doctor catches as she falls “Come on people we were off to the outer core” 120 Meters/396.3 Feet [1Meter = 3.28 Feet] later the medical team and Seanna Phoenix have reached the edge of the mid-section of the ship “Our becoming is at hand; the experiences and knowledge of the lineage will be part of us and us of it I shall increase the sum of the lineage of Symbiot Companions and achieve kinship with the lineage of predecessors” “Gumtu was week and foolish we are not Gumtu should have shared his knowledge with the federation how selfish, we are grater and shall be magnanimous and share with the federation what they will be capable of grasping and appreciating”

“Deanna Troi needed protection she had to depend on Riker, Worf or Data for protection but now reborn as Seanna Phoenix I do not need anyone on the Enterprise to protect me, I can protect the Enterprise as Seanna Phoenix Vextra or as Seanna Phoenix” “I will show William T. Riker whom belongs to whom very soon” Seanna snickers then giggles “Worf will be able to take a long vacation after I complete my metamorphosis and regeneration I will be able to handle security for Enterprise” Seanna laughs “and as for those who hold an ill will for Jean Luc Picard due to his being Locutus of Borg we shall exact punishment on all of them” “We are ready for the myriad of experiences, knowledge and skills of the lineage NO MORE DELAY Darshana Ciana there are no regrets we demand our becoming, our advancement, our fulfillment, my reformation and Vextra’s restoration, OUR REGENERATION & REBIRTH ”

“Dr Ciana our new Symbiot Companion seems too eager to go through this she seems as if she will loose herself in this merging is she MAD?” states one of the youngest members of the Symbiot Companion Metamorphosis & Regeneration Team; “You forget that Deanna has gone through Regeneration in addition to Symbiot Companion Metamorphosis and Deanna had life threatening injuries young Mr. Tory” “One: undergoing Companion Metamorphosis unsettles the mind a bit, Two: Regeneration to heal injuries blurs the mind, Three: Total Regeneration to prevent a death causes a storm in one’s mind; In the case of Deanna Troi/Seanna Phoenix Total Regeneration plus Symbiot Companion Metamorphosis has caused her to through reformation” answers Dr. Darshana Ciana

Dr. Ciana continues “Four: willingness how much someone wants/needs to become a Symbiot Companion affects the whole process, this volunteer is more willing and more genuine than some of our candidates who have studied and trained for this role”
“As a result of these four factors the mind of Deanna Troi/Seanna Phoenix is in total flux her personally traits are shifting around dominant traits are becoming minor traits and minor traits are becoming dominant as well some of her dominant and minor personality traits are becoming midlevel personality traits” “When we get to the outer core and the next step of this transformation takes place Myriad Life Induction takes place the mind of Deanna Troi/Seanna Phoenix will be in a state of chaos her mind as it is not will seem calm compared to what it will soon be after Seanna Phoenix receives the Myriad sum of the lineage of predecessor companions Seanna Phoenix’s mind will be re-forged”

Dr. Darshana Ciana pauses takes a breath and stares piercingly at the young Mr. Tory
“That is not for the faint of heart Mr Tory as you have read in your medical studies a new companion can be violent, paranoid and or delusional as well they exhibit physical & telekinetic strength six-fold above normal for several hours after stage two and in a small umber of cases their sexual orientation changes” “It can take 24 to 30 hours for them to properly calm down, since you are being overdramatic and slightly idiotic Mr. Tory your useless to this team I have half a mind to turn you into a twin of your girlfriend and confine you to your quarters where you can entertain yourself or tell Seanna after stage two that you think she is MAD” Dr. Darshana Ciana slaps Mr. Tory in the face and motions to some security personnel who are part of the Symbiot Companion Metamorphosis & Regeneration Team “Take Mr. Tory to his quarters” the security personnel take Mr. Tory back to his quarters, “Now that we are rid of that fool Tory we can get back to the business at hand”

Part 5 *****
The rest of the journey to the outer core goes by quickly for the Symbiot Companion Metamorphosis & Regeneration Team; at 216 Meters/708.48 Feet the team reaches the outer core; Dr. Darshana Ciana places her right hand on the organic door that is the entrance to the outer core for the purpose of a DNA scan seconds later the door to the outer core almost seems to melt away as it opens. The Symbiot Companion Metamorphosis & Regeneration Team carry Seanna Phoenix into the outer core on a stretcher like device Seanna Phoenix is calm but her head is moving side to side; the team carry Seanna Phoenix for a Decametre Dr. Ciana places her right hand on the ground and 10 seconds later an organic chair forms with four holes in the headrest several team members place Seanna Phoenix into the chair; “Yes, Yes kinship and lineage are at hand” says Seanna; Team members disperse to the walls of this area of the ship and place their hands on several places on the walls and consoles take form to monitor stage two. “Ready for Memory Myriad Induction Doctor Ciana” the team members respond almost simultaneously, seconds later four snake like appendages shoot up from the camber floor and move toward the chair; The appendages thread themselves through the wholes in the headrest and plug themselves into Seanna Phoenix’s head Dr. Ciana activates her control panel (shaped like a protractor) for the Memory Myriad Induction procedure Dr. Darshana Ciana hands start to move rapidly over her panel and the chair and the appendages start to glow, Seanna Phoenix’s body becomes transparent Seanna moans with pleasure then the Memories of her Symbiot Companion predecessors begins to flow into her body and mind at the same time her body starts to become opaque again stating with her toes and progresses ups her body in sink with the percent complete of Memory Myriad Induction process

“Vital Signs report Dr. Selar” states Dr. Ciana “Core strength 72 before stage two now at 144 at twenty-five complete” answers Dr. Selar “Well this is a welcome change a Symbiot Companion is 68 % of the time the new Symbiot Companion is weaker at this point in the process, double at a quarter complete looks like Seanna will be one of the strongest” As the process takes place Seanna Phoenix verbalises some of the memories of her predecessors and at times Seanna speaks in the voices of some of her predecessors and as well she starts morphing into the physical appearances of many of her predecessors as Symbiot Companion; After a few hours this behaviour pattern stops the former Deanna Troi is calmer than she has been during this metamorphosis and regeneration which as been an ordeal for her “Well I think the rest of this stage will go quietly” states Doctor Ciana Doctor Dr. Selar echoes her sentiment; a total of twelve hours have passed have passed since stage two started finally Seanna Phoenix is completely clam twenty-four minutes then she begins to speak and recite the reasons for Spectryn Bio-Ship program and why it became a Lifeboat Exodus Program; Seanna the states the Root Directives that influence the Bio-Ship behaviour and its responsibilities towards the crew and the symbiot companion, then finally Seanna Phoenix starts to state Root Directives that influence her behaviour and her responsibilities towards the crew and the host body Vextra “Finally stage two is complete Doctor Ciana” states Dr. Selar “Yes indeed replies Doctor Ciana let us hope that Seanna Phoenix’s personality is NOT like the sixth Symbiot Companion far too much of a violent disposition” [Could not help it another Doctor Who reference]

Part 6 ****** {DRAFT}
Doctor Dr. Darshana Ciana and Doctor Selar both speak simultaneously “On to stage three Linking and stage four is Unification, off we go to the inner core” They smile.
The Symbiot Companion Metamorphosis & Regeneration Team travels another 216 Meters/708.48 Feet to get to the Inner Core once there Doctors place their right hands on a wall near the entrance to the Inner Core their palm-prints are scanned; then two concave shaped masks emerge from the interior skin of the ship and scan Doctor Dr. Darshana Ciana’s and Doctor Selar’s retinal patterns as well scans their brainwave patterns; Then a recording of Vextra’s voice states “Identity confirmed” then the voice asks “Why are you here?” two interface triennials begin to from the floor and rise up.

Doctor Dr. Darshana Ciana and Doctor Selar both enter a keyed sequenced into the terminals to indicate that the Symbiot Companion Metamorphosis & Regeneration Team is present at the inner core to confirm the death of the Symbiot Companion and replace her with a new one and the induction of Seanna Phoenix into the host Vextra and finally the end resultant being Coalescence (Unification) of Seanna Phoenix and Vextra. Doctor Selar turns to Seanna Phoenix and states “Seanna Phoenix your reason for being is at hand child! Vextra will awaken in a few minuets and ONLY YOU will be able clam her down she does not know that her Symbiot Companion Tara Trinity your predecessor is dead or very near to death and if Tara is not she is NO condition to continue as Symbiot Companion her rehabilitation will take around two years based on best inferences Vextra will be very angry and disturbed when she discovers this.” Doctor Ciana then speaks “Then you will open and access the nexus so Tara Trinity’s body can be removed and the Metamorphosis & Regeneration team can assess the damage; Step three will come after that Seanna Linking with Vextra’s body and start healing the team will help you require it as well as repair the Nexus if necessary.” “YES glows Seanna”

What I meant by being able to to pilot a shuttlecraft is that it would give her a reason to be on the bridge since she would then be able to work at conn some of the time and what happened in the movie would NOT come across as shoehorned in.

Or, at least if they had shown her successfully piloting something before, it wouldn't have seem like the crazy female driver crashing the ship the first time she flew it.

TS - I really like your idea of Troi shifting through different realities. It's always interesting to see what different lives the characters could have lived if things had panned out differently.

One that came to mind is one where Deanna is part Borg and the Borg are NOT a FULL collective

Here's an idea, going back to some of my other comments about Troi:

The concept of Troi as "ship's counselor" ("the local shrink") should be thrown out. I think it would be much more interesting if Marina Sirtis-as-Troi could portray the Enterprise-D's head civilian scientist. As such, she would be an active member of the Bridge crew, though not tied to the Bridge. She would be actively involved in missions, inquisitive, and more physically active. But she would not be "working for Picard" as a subordinate officer. She would be a civvy, actively advocating for all civilians (especially the scientists) aboard the Enterprise. She would wear a jumpsuit, but not a catsuit. It would not be a Starfleet uniform, although she would wear a combadge. She would also occasionally wear conservative civilian business attire while on-duty or attending ship's functions. Off duty, she would wear sexy clothes meant to show off her "off duty side" (plunging necklines, etc.)

Her psionic abilities would be there, but more fleeting. Betazoids would have milder empathic abilities (she could not read minds or "sense" things so dramatically) I would shift her character's psionic profile away from making her a born mind-reader to something more along the lines of what Commander Adama was doing in "War of the Gods, Part 2" in the original BATTLESTAR GALACTICA series from the 1970's: she would be experimenting with psionic powers, weakly but tangibly, from time to time with limited success.

One thing I always disliked about TNG is that it seemed to be a New Age cliche of characters assembled that each were born with some weird super-ability (Geordi can see uniquely through his VISOR, Data is a walking computer, Worf is the resident WWF hulk, Wesley was the whiz kid and Troi was the mind reader, you get the idea). If I could hit the reset button, TNG's carnival of super-talents would be downplayed significantly.

I would make Troi into a more physical, all-business personality as an ambitious scientist and advocate for the civvies on board ship. She could still be played by Sirtis and still be sexy, but she would primarily be a leader and worker while on duty.

There would be no prior relationship with Riker, and she would occasionally lock horns with Picard and/or Riker when she would disagree with them. I would also make her into a bit of a McCoy-style wisecracker, but not a constant smart-ass.

One thing I would absolutely not change would be Marina Sirtis' hairstyles in TNG. TNG, to me, was very much a late-1980's/early 1990's show, and I would love to see her keep the 80's hair. I'm also very attached to the idea of Sirtis as Troi. That was a once-in-a-lifetime casting pick. Sirtis is both capable and gorgeous as an actress. I don't think anyone else could play her credibly.

I forgot about the civilian scientists until you mentioned it then "Who Watches The Watchers" came to mind
IIRC they wore a purple, withe and sliver jumpsuit that would have worked great as well.
