Yup, it was reported even before the film came out that Chris Hemsworth would appear via archival footage from The Dark World.
Chris Hemsworth himself didn't even know that he was going to be in the movie until he was asked about it in an interview.

That would have been awesome, but I have the feeling that Cage takes that role more seriously then you'd expect (I'm pretty sure he has a Ghost Rider tattoo, and had it before he got the role in the movie), and I'm not surprised he wouldn't do a cameo. Honestly, ever since he wound down his rapid movie pace (aka since he paid off his debts) he's gotten a bit picky in the roles he takes, I preferred the more wild "Does almost anything" Nic Cage personally. On the other hand he's past middle age and finally seems to have gotten things together, he has the right to do whatever he wants even if its not as interesting as what he was doing.

Finally saw it. Gave it an A-. I fricking loved it. I was kind of going apathetic about the MCU. In fact, I have never seen the Eternals, ANT Man 3, the Marvel's, and Wakonda Forever. I had seen all the other movies. The MCU is back. Loved the cameos. Loved the performances. Loved the humor and action.

My excitement for the MCU has come back. I am still not sure about RD Jr. Playing Dr. DOOM. But I will trust Feige and company.

That doesn't surprise me.

Honestly, I hope we never find out why Thor cries. Much like how I never want to find out how Worf caused the destruction of the Enterprise-E. The answer is much better suited left to the imagination of the audiences.
What makes you think it was destroyed?

Eh, his Ghost Rider would have been too powerful for the movie. Killed the drama.

I mean, Ghost Rider was strong but he never really dominated in fights in his two films. He was frequently fighting groups of supernatural minions, where they could and did swarm him with some success, and his big one on one fight that I can remember (against Blackheart) he barely won. I think he even needed to be in darkness to be GR in the first film. Sure his fire is powerful and his penance stare is beyond dangerous, but Cassandra Nova's group of minions wouldn't have been overwhelmed by him any more then they were by the heroes already there, and honestly I think that Pyro might have been able to at least partially nullify his fire (or maybe he would have tried but got burned, which would have been a cool scene).

Regardless I think that Ghost Rider could have had a cool scene in the film, I could see him taking over one of the bad guys vehicles and making it all "Ghost Rider" ish (the Fantasti-Car they had would have been a great option for this) and all they'd have to do is stick him against Juggernaut (or maybe add a variant Blackheart, they'd just need a pale guy dressed in black) and he'd be occupied in the big fight scene.
