Spoilers DC's Legends of Tomorrow - Season 2

A guy throwing out his hands and bracing his legs to stop a train is classic superheroics 101.
Yeah, when he has the superstrength and 'push back' ability to back it up. Steel just has... metal skin. I'm pretty sure that many, many, many tons of steel moving at a good pace trumps a couple hundred pounds of stationary steel in pretty much any contest you can imagine. And breaking a few boards isn't going to even remotely slow down those many, many, many tons of steel either way.

Comics. Real world physics don't apply. That's on page one of Superheroics 101.

The tracks were severely buckled.

Clear as day we could see that.

If that train had continued for another five feet, it would not have been on train tracks.

The Silver Surfer is stronger than Superman, but his metal coating is tangential to that strength.

Remember when that Morlock with fire/heat powers melted Colossus' hands to his abs?

Ferro Lad! What a putz! His body can turn to iron, but he can't move when he's ironed up.

I remember silver age Ferro Lad. He could move while iron. It was the hero Stone Boy who was immobile when turned to stone.

season 2 is a weird duck so far. it's both better and worse than season 1. i'm glad we're not subjected to vandal savage every episode, but I also don't like how standalone-y it's been thus far. we were promised the JSA and the Legion of Doom, but the JSA were just in one episode really, and the Legion has barely been in it thus far. also, I really miss Rip Hunter and Captain Cold. I just don't feel like there's a standout character anymore. White Canary just doesn't make it as a lead. but i am really excited at the thought of the proper Legion eventually appearing. I just can't get into "random time travel adventure" though.

It just occurred to me that there haven't yet been any trips to the future this season. It might be nice to get a look at Thawne's native time; maybe they'll go there once they figure out who their speedster nemesis is.

Its so nice that they just happen to get enough dwarf star alloy in this episode for next week's big crossover finale..

it just seems to me that would be easier just to tear up the tracks rather than stopping the train. I mean if Steel is that strong, that seems like that would've been a lot easier way to stop the train. No train tracks, the trains not going anywhere.
