Spoilers DC's Legends of Tomorrow - Season 2

I wonder if they'll cross reference his story (unnecessary cybernetic upgrades) with "plastic surgery addiction"?

I wonder who his parents will be? In the comics his father is Alan Scott, the orignal Green Lantern. no idea if they have the rights to do that even if he is never seen.

We know part of the story next season starts in the 1940s. Henrisksen is the right age that his character could have been born to back than and is still alive in 2016. If they go that route.

The producers have been told not to use certain characters.... there is definately a mandate from up top.

Exactly. THey present their ideas to DC and are told who or what they can use. Some they could use and held back on that fans wrongly assumed were off limits. It was recently revealed the original plan for the first season finale of Supergirl was for Superman to fully appear. But too much was going on and they choice to wait until the start of season 2. But there are certainly things that are off limits for real.

The CW is Warner Brothers is DC Comics.

That's a lot of cooperating and posturing as they share the property.

FOX on the other hand gave DC Comcs/WB a shit ton of money to be left alone do whatever it wanted with all of Batman.

Looks like a fun season ahead! :techman:

Yeah, that teaser was good. I liked Season 1, and hopefully without some of the stupider Vandal Savage stuff to drag it down this season will be even better.

Just because they defeated vandal Savage in the future... And killed him three times through out history... Odds are he'll still have a cameo like Darkh did last year, because the point of history is to see history.

I'd be fine with a cameo. I didn't hate the actual character like some people seemed to. I hated the stupidity the team showed so much when dealing with him. The writers kept having the team act like idiots so that they wouldn't just catch Savage half way through the season, and it made a lot of the Savage related stuff irritating. Hopefully the writing staff ups its game a bit, and without Savage I'm hoping they don't get back into the bad habit of "Team catches or corners villain, then their stupidity lets him escape).

Yeah, I'm catching on the end of last season, and in the one where they had Savage in the cell of the Wavrider, I couldn't believe Ray was actually stupid enough to try to go in and fight him. I understand he was pissed, but it was still just a really stupid thing to do.

I get the sense that they tried to just wing it and write on the fly and the overarching story got away from them and they were never able to quite contain it. Actually that seems to be the norm for most TV shows that supposedly have a "plan", some are just able to hold the illusion longer.

Hopefully the fact that Season 2 seems to be more about just protecting the timeline in general , rather than just going after one specific enemy will mean they won't have to do as much annoying stuff just to drag out the storyline longer. As much as I enjoy arc based storytelling, the lengths some shows go to drag a story out for a full season can be annoying. I do like the way a lot of the cable shows, and a few network shows like Once Upon A Time, just do half season arcs, rather than drag one story out for a full 20+ episode season.

Yeah, I think episodic story telling with the occasional loosely connected arc or crossover story thrown in would fit Legends better than one long ongoing arc.

I have to be honest, I was reallllly not that impressed with LoT first season - the writing and plotting in particular. And yet, just having the JSA has got me so very excited!

I liked the formula Enterprise used in its fourth season. Arcs 2 or 3 episodes long, with the occassional stand-alone episode. Make the story only as long as it needs to be. WIth a comic book show like Legends it would feel like issues instead of a long drawn out thing.
