^:guffaw:Sorry, that just made me think of the scene I just read in Last Son, where Clark tells Chris/Lor-Zod that he can't meet Batman untill he's sixteen and Wonder Woman until he is eighteen.

I don't get it. Is the joke that Wonder Woman is a child predator?

I don't about anybody else, but if I were to have kids in the DCU, I don't think I would want them hanging around Batman. I really don't think he would be the greatest influence on a well adjusted kid.
Indeed. In fact, I'm surprised anyone hangs out with Batman. He's mean and he probably smells like Rorschach.

Are there even any age of consent laws where Wonder Woman grew up? It's not like they had any males on that island.

Or any kids outside of Diana.

Yeah it was about a little boy oggling her amazing boobs. I wonder when he's allowed to meet Catwoman? The 90s Jim Balent version I mean, not the current one :p

I was in a store the other week and a fan loudly and proudly declared to the store owner to cancel all his DC pull list comics. I thought to myself, "Gee, buddy. Take that passion and direct it to something important in life."

I didn't realize the deadline passed for ordering books. I didn't place any pull list orders with my local shop because of a possible move I might be making. I just hope when I go into a shop in September, they won't be completely sold out of the few that I'd like to get. Somehow, I have a feeling there is going to be a push of people buying multiples to A) sell on ebay or B) misleadingly think the issues will be worth something.

So who here other than myself is getting all 52?
I'm getting about half. All of the Bat and Super families, about half of the Justice League family, some of The Dark, some of the Edge, none of the Lanterns, and only Teen Titans out of Young Justice.

I'm looking to pick up Action Comics and The Flash. I'm still debating on whether or not to pick up Superman and Batgirl. I am also considering getting Justice League for novelty's sake.

We now have retailer reaction now. I like the one guy who says people who aren't on board the change can go re-read their back issues. Well they'll do more than that buddy, they'll go to Marvel or stop reading at all.

Meh. Just like disgruntled trekkies managed to tank JJTrek.

I'll be buying some DC comics other than Green Lantern for the first time in years.

Both of those thoughts crossed my mind as well.
However, since I'm only going to get 2-3 books anyway I'm not worried. I'm using this as a massive jump off point to just read DC in TPB's now. I can get them cheaper than the cumulative of the individual issues. I'll be behind I know but the savings is worth it.

I'll probably be getting all the ones for the core DC characters. I've always wanted to get more into characters like Hawkman or Aquaman, but with all the backstory and complex mythology, I could never really find a way in until now.

Yeah. Those fans will buy. If anything to complain.

I wonder if this was a reaction similar to Crisis on Infinite Earths. How many of those "fans" stuck to their guns and didn't come back? I doubt it was a number big enough to care.

I plan on getting all of the Bat, Super, and Lantern families, the two JLs, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Flash, JL Dark, Teen Titans, the two Legions and maybe Blue Beetle. I'm not sure if I'll be getting all of them as they come out, but I plan on checking them out eventually.

Geoff Johns: and you thought he didn't start dehumanizing women till he started writing Carol Ferris.

I'm buying Batwoman (for Williams), and am willing to try Firestorm (for Simone) and Wonder Woman (for Azzarello).

And it's like they intentionally made OMAC into the Scylla of encouraging Dan DiDio to write comics and the Charybdis of not encouraging people to have Keith Giffen draw them.

Maybe Legion, maybe not.

Morrison would have to do something amazing to get me to pay attention to Action Comics.

You know, if Rick Berman and Brannon Braga were the masterminds behind Trek 11, these comparisons might make more sense.
