DC to REBOOT???

Reverse-Flash went back in time and changed the DCU, sticking everyone in this alternate world that's actually the real world. Barry Allen the Flash is the only one who remembers the real world and is trying to change it back.

Booster Gold knows, too.

Hey is there any sites i can go to read these comics. They dont sell comics where i live at so i cant buy them.

I like to read Flashpoint if i could.

Thank you
I've been reading Green Lantern: Secret Origin on Comixology, and I've been really happy with the set up there. You do have to sign up and pay to be able to read each issue though.

This just spun my head around:
http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Superboy-Prime

Hence why DC needs rebooted. How can anyone kept track of all that and be sane?
Plus untill today i didnt know whom Superboy Prime was. Still lost on who Conner Kent is.

Wow.
I've managed to keep sane and I've been reading DC comics since the Multiple Earth days. Its pretty easy to keep track in this modern age, as your link demonstrates.

I'll save you some time, though. Conner Kent is a clone/hybrid that was created using Superman's DNA.

Vertigo's Hellblazer doesn't take place within the DCU. The title started off in the DCU, but then split off when Vertigo was established. There's now going to be a DCU version of John Constantine and a Vertigo version, which will have different continuities.

Wow. That won't be needlessly confusing.

To make it worse, Constantine would guest star in one of the late Swamp Thing runs, which would make mention of Capes. And of course, he had a thing with Zatanna . . .
And then there was Books of Magic, and obviously all those parts in Sandman which deeply samples from DCU continuity and directly references Hellblazer continuity alike. Plus all those DCU appearances of the Daniel Hall Dream and Death.

Vertigo's always had a real soft continuity thing going on. Like, on one hand, it's reasonably obvious Superman doesn't exist in Hellblazer, but it's certain that a John Constantine has been in the DCU. Sometimes I think this is the way they should do continuity in every book.

The really funny irony is that the world of Hellblazer, the horror comic, is a much less frightening place than the bright-and-shiny actual DCU, which doesn't go a year without a terrorist act with a body count in the million-plus range. Give me walking abortions, S+M vengeance killers, and America-is-Hell allegory any day over Vandal Savage, Jade Nguyen and Prometheus' underexplained ability to acquire and deploy WMDs in major metropolitan areas.

That's the whole problem - it's like doing a Nightmare on Elm Street movie as a pg, where Freddie has giant tickle fingers - what's the point?

The rationale behind the Midnighter, Apollo et al. was to give us analogues of Superman, Batman etc who could appear in stories that went beyond what could be done within those character. If you stick them in the same Universe as the characters they are knock-offs of and they are subject to all the same limits, what on earth is the point?

I think the Authority was always a concept that was finite - because they either changed the world or they looked like Idiots. Once they did actually change the world, they was nothing really interesting to say with them.

Well, that's true; every concept is basically finite at its core, but The Authority was maybe more finite than others. You run into the transhumanity problem in books like that. Like Squadron Supreme, would anyone want to read 100 issues of their dictatorship being successful? I guess, maybe, since I still want to read the last twelve or so issues Gaiman's going to finally do of Miracleman. (Although it's difficult to predict how he'll make that interesting without repeating the Kid Miracleman gran guignol all over again, except with Young Miracleman, just because YM has his own problems with the idea of anal sex.)

Oh God. I just realized that Miracleman is going to somehow wind up in the Marvel Universe, isn't he? It'll be like the Sentry, but several million times worse.

Talking about killing the Joker, did you ever read the Daniel Way Nighthawk series, which ended with the Joker rip-off saying "Well I'm ready to go back to my Cell now!" and Nighthawk beating him to death instead.
No. But that sounds awesome. :D

Also, I meant to mention that I think it's pretty great that Bruce Springsteen is getting his own comic book.

Then you should know all about the multiple Earths and multiple versions of heroes. A concept like Superboy Prime should be like going home. :techman:

Yes it can be daunting, but its easier now than it was, thanks to the internet. Superboy Prime popped up around '85 and then vanished til 2005. So we're not talking about alot "screen time".

Did you honestly think nothing would have happened between the Death of Superman and the present? That was three decades ago!!!!

This reboot will wipe much of the slate clean so I wouldn't worry about "catching up". If they do it right you'll be given the information you need as you need it,

That "Q and A" was pretty lame. I do have to say that I'm interested in the Justice League book and that the first arc will tell their "new" origin. I agree Morrison sounded like he was rambling.

Just hope DC is totally REbooted and that the comics will be cheaper to dwn load too Kindle or here on puter so i can get my kids to read them. NO way am im i paying $3 or $4 bucks for a comic book.

So far ive read Flashpoint 1 & 2 , World of Flashpoint and the Batman tie in. Im really liken it so far and didnt no u can read these from other means lol.

So far DC is doing their job by getting me whom hasent bought a comic since 1995 to be interested again.
