Shortly after I got heavily into comics, they started coming out with OHOTMU and Who's Who, so I had these "encyclopedia comics" coming out every month, walking me through the history of the two universes. That was pretty handy.

Sure it does. Stan Lee has one.

It was actually a memorization device.

To bad it didn't work. Stan's bad memory is legendary. I believe he managed to screw up both Bruce Banner and Peter Parker's names in some early issues.

"I think you ought to get him some help. He seems to be really hung up on super heroes' sex organs."

From the looks of it it doesn't seem like I'm going to care with this "new" Superman.

None-the-less, I've ordered a copy of the new Action Comics #1 and even subscribed to the Action Comics line. So we'll see how it goes, I guess.

You guys know we have a thread where we're actually discussing the books right? This one can pretty much be closed now as it was really a news and build up thread. Oh and Breaker, you should be happy...Grant Morrison has brought back the Golden Age Superman and he's awesome!

I thought Justice League #1 was really lame. This "writing for the trade" thing is really getting out of hand. Nothing HAPPENS in the issue! Ugh. If the installments are going to be this padded, they need to come out weekly, not monthly.

I know about his trying to remember character names using alliteration (however well it worked out). But I was thinking of the rest of his writing. Alliteration and hyperbole in the Mighty Marvel Manner. And yes, my post was a joke.

Anyway, to connect back to the topic... uh... alliteration... uh... DC characters. Clark Kent. Wally West. Guy Gardner. Gorilla Grodd. Appa Ali Apsa. Val Vostok.

    Carry on.

Actually the topic isn't alliteration it is the relaunch...another reason why this should be closed now. @Neroon if you would be so kind? :)

How often do you meet people in your actual daily life who have alliterative names?
