DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

The Milton Glaser logo lasted longer than any other, and since its retirement DC has been through at least three different logo designs. Don't mess with a classic in my opinion.

I like the logo, but ibam biased, since it was dominant when I read comics. It's weird to think that a whole generation never knew that logo.

Also the motion one

begins with 1938 Superman... so when the copyright runs out on him, dothey get to "real copyright" that version of Superman....or just a way to pre-empt the wild west open usage of that version???

Fair bet to say there will be other versions of the animated one as time goes on, with Batman etc.

so when the copyright runs out on him
Which is still a decade away for that specific version. Having it in their logo (assuming they still do by then) doesn't stop it from entering public domain when the time comes. Just as the Steamboat Willie Mickey Mouse entered public domain despite being in one of the Disney intros for quite a few years now.

The '38 Superman. The best (the character's earliest years in general) makes an excellent choice to open the motion logo.

"The BECS?" That's not likely to catch on. And putting both "Epic" and "Saga" in the same title sounds really pompous. Why not just "Batverse?"

Yeah, that's a terrible name. I predict 90% of people will keep right on calling the Reevesverse or something similar unless they're actively trying to make fun of it.

Yeah, you really needy a catchy name for these kind of universes, and that is just awkward.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get a different one for each family of characters, with who ever the major character is.

Hmm. Around 2:18 it looks like he's going to kill his apprentice. Is Penguin that ruthless that he would kill someone who has the same ambitions as him? Even if they're a kid aspiring to get to the top?
