DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

I can live with fewer post credits scenes, especially now that they're all teases for sequels that are never coming out.

Trouble in the new Gunn run DCFU?
Never heard of World of Reel or The Hot Mix, so I have no idea how trustworthy any of this is.

Oh, dear. Given how previous DC films have been hacked apart into incoherence to meet the standards of the studio brass, I'm not confident in their ability to assess the quality of superhero movies, but unfortunately they have the final say.

World of Reel is a website that claimed last year that there were supposedly problems between Amazon and the Broccoli family, and that Barbara Broccoli called Amazon executives "idiots", and I've never heard of the other one either.

It was screened for execs and they didn't like it? That bothers me in the sense that they are going to get their grimy hands on it and wreck it like they've done with so many other DC properties.

I don't think he would have been bad as Superman, but based off the trailer I think they made the right choice.

So, I'm seeing this clickbaity article pop up that is claiming Warner Bros has all its eggs in the basket with the Big S on it because if this movie doesn't make a gazillion dollars the studio will go the way of FOX. What's the deal with that? Is there any truth to it?

I think there is some truth... Zaslav is all about getting the money...so at the very least it will end DC Studios if it fails

I was going to say that they might at least finish up the movies they are already working on, but then I remembered Batgirl, Scoob: Holiday Haunt, and Coyote vs ACME.

True; Zaslav, et al., wasted no time shelving the allegedly "CW pilot"-esque Batgirl movie (and other projects), so he does not feel obligated to churn out more new, expensive productions if the "launchpad" movie crumbles. Save, readjust, move forward.
