Maybe he's George Bailey, and we're watching an alternate reality of Bedford Falls where he was not born in in the 20th century, but the 32nd instead...He's Dennis Bailey.

Future Guy was bald I'm loved giving speeches; so he had to have been Jean-Luc Picard. I'm sure we'll see that in Picard season 2...I'll be furious if he actually turns out to be the true identity of Future Guy instead of Scott Bakula.
I want to like Kovich...
Best scene of the season so far. That scene in "Die Trying" where he interrogates Georgiou was one of my favorite bits this season, if not the entire show.
By reports (can't confirm veracity) he is a Trek fan so he might have asked. Regardless, he is a blast to have on there. His reaction to Georgiou's asking about the holograms just was great. Reminded me a bit like Munch from Law and Order.I'm still interested to know how Cronenberg actually wound up on the show. Was somebody in the cast or crew a fan of his work, and just decided to give him a call? Or did HE ask?
My theory is that he's literally David Cronenberg who somehow made it into the future.

I like the idea that they were trying to trying to show up The Mandalorian having Werner Herzog. Not saying that is happening but the thought amuses me.I'm still interested to know how Cronenberg actually wound up on the show. I heard he was the true mastermind behind Crisis Point: The Rise of VindictaHe's actually David Cronenberg, and he's been alive for over 1200 years.
The article also says he's returning for Season 4.Here an interesting interview with Cronenberg offering some cool stuff about his relationship to Trek, Shatner, and if hed ever direct a episode
