I'm still partial to Colt using Krall's tech on some alien just so they have an excuse to bring in Idris Elba.
They are tons of fun until you hit the really crazy, crazy stuff like time travellers, and there is one of of those about the JFK thing. It's bonkers stuff the more you dig. How would they have gotten Krall's tech if they didn't cross over to the Kelvin universe and back again?
Krall's tech would exist in both universes. Krall was stranded and found it long before Nero's arrival split the timeline.
When I saw people on here referring to the character as David Cronenberg I thought it was just due to the fact that the actor resembled David Cronenberg, but shit, it actually is David Cronenberg.
The man's killing time before his next movie I guess. Hey can he bring his frequent star Viggo Mortensen with him in his next Trek appearance? If Cronenberg is Federation President, make Aragorn Federation Vice President.
I like this idea! Maybe Captain Pike and the Enterprise had the Prime Universe's encounter with Krall after "The Cage" but just before DIS Season Two, and that's why the Enterprise looks so different -- experimental new hull geometry as a result of repairs after defeating Krall's forces and saving Starbase Yorktown! And maybe Colt was transformed from a Human as a result of Krall's tech! That's it, that's my headcanon now.
