shouldn't data have been at least a commander anyway???..I seem to remeber in redemption I believe he told picard he had 26 yrs of starfleet service?????yeah I know it was discrimination against him being and androind, but when he commanded the Sutherland, he more than proved he had "da command Chops".

yeah, I always thought that too..I agree with the statement before that picard should have gone ahead and promoted him and we'd see him in command red and three pips which he deserved so much..maybe we'll find out later if he got a posthumous promotion??
