Wow. If they really were going for that color scheme originally, it's horrible. Looks real bad!

Another poster upthread mentioned they switched him out of blue to avoid too many direct comparisons to Spock, and I tend to agree that may have been a consideration.

Also, I heard Gedde Watanabe ("Gung Ho") was at one point considered for the role of Data.

How about giving Bev the command gold color, and the rest of them the TOS colors, so Tasha would be in red, Data in blue, Picard, Riker, Geordi and Worf would be in gold, etc.

As for Data quotes, have you used this one: "Would you please continue the petty bickering? I find it most intriguing."
