Data Looked Great in Command Red

Then more you shall have. This time, in the big chair.

Any chance of getting some of the other cast in different uniforms? I always wondered what Beverly would like in command red...

You mean, like, in All Good Things...?

;)

Dammit! I knew someone would bring that up....

Honestly, no. I'm dissing Gates McFadden, who always seemed like she had some kind of a bug up her posterior in every situation where I've seen her, or talked with others who have encountered her. It may not be fair, but this has made it hard to separate actor from character.

Of course, I'd still sleep with her...

I thought it was a little strange to see him in Command red, to be honest... Guess I'm just so used to Ops gold.

I still LOVE the idea of Data as First Officer! :D

We sometimes forget the Worf and Geordi started out in red. Of course, back then they were in the command division. But that makes it not so strange to see them in those colors.

Those are awesome...now all we need is Mirror Universe versions of these...Deanna in Mirror T'Pol's uni and we're all set.

Admiral Young

They definitely made a good call on switching the colours. Stewart and Frakes look awful. I can only imagine how bad Brooks and Mulgrew would've looked in that colour.

I think it's a pity he didn't wear the red in 'The Gambit', despite being first, Acting First Officer and then, Acting Captain. 'Chain of Command' was made after 'The Gambit', possibly the Trek staff felt the same way and decided to give Data another shot in the red.

Wait, wasn't Gambit in the seventh season?

No need to imagine!

(not alot of editing there...thanks First Contact!)

And Wrongway Janeway:

The truth is, we generally tend to like what we see first. We saw command in red in post 1986 Trek, so that's what we generally prefer. Had the colors been reversed, we'd probably feel stronger the other way.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that Data was originally going to be the science officer, but the costumers thought his makeup clashed horribly with the original blue jumpsuits.
