Damn! It's hot!

It's currently 32 here in Ottawa, and 42 on the humidex. I would honestly rather that it be snowing...

Same. I was in conditioning all day (teaching summer school) then felt like I was swimming under weather once I stepped out to go home. Yuck!

I don't like winter, though :p

92F in Plymouth today. I was priming/painting my shed on and off all day today and yesterday ahead of the REALLY hot, humid weather on its way beginning tomorrow

With cold, you're uncomfortable for the first few minutes and then basically it feels pretty good and energizing. With such hot weather, you suffer the whole time you're outside. And you feel tired and heavy. Being in this furnace sucks.

We don't have a “humidex” in Southern California. I assume it means the combined effect of heat and humidity -- the converse of wind-chill factor.

I knew a lady from Georgia (the U.S. state, not the former Soviet republic) who used to talk about the “humiture” -- a portmanteau of humidity and temperature. I've never heard anyone else use that word.

The next few days are going to be brutal. I put in my upstairs air conditioner yesterday, which makes my bedroom bearable, but it's not going to make much difference in the room where I work, I don't think.

We need feature that converts temperatures automatically here.

27 C here yesterday, by the way.
Actually, Firefox has a plug-in which does just that. For example, I can select 27 C, right click, and the drop-down list tells me that it's 80.6 F. It converts all kinds of other weights and measures, too. :)

Found it. Works excellent.

I grew up in Georgia, never heard that word either.

I was told by my cardiologist to move some place very warm because the cold and a little work can and has caused heart attacks in people.

For someone like me I freeze very easily but takes forever to warm up.

Hope you got all of the paint work finished because there's nothing worse than painting at a time of high humidity. Sometimes, it literally takes days for the paint to dry.

Maryland is dancing with the 100-degree mark for the next couple of days. Humidity at the moment is around 35%, which is actually lower than I expected. Nevertheless, this weather sucks. We are also in serious need of some rain.

I was in Vegas two weeks ago, and while the temperature was exceeding 100 degrees every day, the humidity was so low that it didn't bother me too much. I just don't think I was built for this mid-atlantic weather. The southwest U.S. is becoming more and more appealing to me.

Its a Behr outdoor latex - perfectly dry by late afternoon. Here's a crappy cell phone pic (that doesn't do it any justice) from my neighbor's yard who were so happy to see the previous battleship gray FINALLY GONE!!

here and here:

We've been over 100 F for a few days now. Yesterday we tied a record for the day-- 108 F! Today should be cooler...only 105 F.

At 10 pm last night, it was 91 F. At 7 am (right now), it's already 82 F. We should drop below highs over 100 sometime later this week.

It just hit 91 F in northern Indiana. Just went out for a short walk an hour ago, noticed hardly anyone outside. Must of been the heat! :)

It is currently 30 degrees here in Sudbury, Ontario--but with the humidity, it feels like 36. :ack:

(That's 86 and 96.8 degrees Fahrenheit for our American friends)

Where the hell am I? Is this Canada?

Don't despair, it'll be back up over 50% tomorrow.

108 outside my back window at the moment. That's at 7:00. In the shade. Awesome.

98'F (36'C) here in SW Ohio. I went out to get the mail and felt like Lawrence of Arabia crossing the desert before I reached the end of the driveway.
