Damn! It's hot!

I'm wondering, are all those people who called climate change fake after it snowed in DC last winter now reconsidering their position in light of the current heatwave? ;)

To turn this fully around I'll respond as the GWers did: "It's summer, of course it is supposed to be hot."

^While I must admit to having to look that up myself, I'm very, very surprised you haven't heard it called that before given what you're showing in your loc field.

High was supposed to be 115 today. Ugh.

Currently 111.

It's supposed to cool down from here on out. The local weather nitwit I was listening to this evening said it's doubtful we'll see 115 again this year.

Don't know if I believe them or not (they'd had today predicted at 116 yesterday among other things), but azcentral has us at 115 tomorrow.

From weather.com, here's the 10 day forecast.

Today: 112
Saturday: 111
Sunday: 110
Monday: 107
Tuesday: 107
Wednesday: 107
Thursday: 107
Friday: 107
Saturday: 107
Sunday: 109

But they also only have our high yesterday at only 112.

Well it's been about 30C or above for a few weeks here now and quite humid, and that's not that common for Sweden. If it have been more humid I could've sworn I was back in Atlanta. Now everyone is basically just longing for rain

He shouldn't feel bad. I've lived in Sacramento all my life (well, except 1973), and I've never heard it called "The Big Tomato" either.

Thought I'd give this one a bump. Right now we're melting in 102 degrees (39 C) in West Los Angeles, which is one of the cooler parts of town. They must be frying bacon on the sidewalks in the Valley.

Anyone else experiencing unusual or unseasonal heat?

Not here, it's cooling down quite a bit. :)

Something like 112 or so here in the valley. I'll take it over the extreme humidity I used to suffer through back in DC though.

102 right now where I am, but a couple of hours ago I was seeing measured temps of between 108 and 115 in the vicinity of downtown Los Angeles. They're setting records today.

109 in Torrance today. that is strange because we gave had a really mild summer so far. I have to stand in the sun all day Wednesday and Thursday so I am hoping it cools down just a tad.

It was 115 in Hollywood earlier ... down to 105 here in Burbank/Glendale ... still ... I'll take it over humidity any day of the week!
