News Cruz: Discovery Season Three Will Be Healing

Cruz: I was excited before the pandemic about people seeing Season Three – but I am even more excited about Season Three, just because of the themes involved and about how healing it can be for people to watch. It’s prescient.

Interesting. So, what can we speculate from this? Something about the current pandemic makes Cruz more excited about season 3?

My best guess is that Cruz is speaking quite broadly. Perhaps he associates a sense of familial closeness after some time apart (see: Burnham potentially “self-quarantining” for a year) as a positive response to the present need for social distancing.

Yes there are at least a couple people on the bridge who we still don't know a lot about. To finally get to know them a bit would be very worthy trek

I'm guessing he means the crew adapting to their new lives without any contact with family and friends they left 900 years behind.

The men on the bridge you mean, Bryce and Rhys? Yes that would be nice to give them more than one sentence an episode, but obviously Owo, Detmer, Airiam and (pointless) Nhan were deemed of more importance.
