[Doom Shepherd]

Here's one for anybody who's ever anthropomorphized their ship/car/toys:


One Little Ship
The Ophelia sailed from New Haven,
With silver and salt in her hold,
The Captain was a young man, but seasoned,
And the crew were all valiant and bold.

They set out to carry their cargo
Through the straits to the south of Cape Horn,
They took on provisions aplenty
But they were not prepared for the storm.

A hurricane hit off Barbados
The tiny ship tattered and tossed
And before the tempest subsided
The crew of Ophelia was lost.

Ophelia, she drifted for hours
But nary a man could she see
She followed her course out of honor
And love for her lost family.

From Atlantic to Pacific Ocean,
Up the west coast to Mulholland Bay,
The Ophelia sailed into the harbor
After seven long months and a day.

But the men of Mullholland, they feared her,
They could not understand what she'd done,
And they chased her back out to the ocean,
With the Bible, the torch and the gun.

There's a lonely ship out on the ocean,
And she does not know which way to steer,
She will wander the seas 'till forever,
When she cries...

No one will hear.

As a musician that only likes 335 and 6120 style bodies that would be a variation of a "Flying V" I'd actually 1) Look at and 2) maybe actually buy.

I'm not a fan of flying-Vs in general. I have, however, always loved the Trek delta and thought it might be an appropriate guitar design.

I had thought of painting it gold and black, but now I'm wondering if I should give it a yellowheart top with ebony inlays...

There's a dedicated fanfiction section at https://www.trekbbs.com/#star-trek-fandom.7 Now my question is this. Is it reserved for Star Trek Fanfic or can I put up my Harry Potter Fanfic in the section as well?

And if I can post my Harry Potter Fanfic is there a word limit per post?

I don't really know the answer to that, sorry. It would probably be a better question for the Fan Fiction mod. Perhaps if I tagged @Count Snow , she would be kind enough to answer it here?

There is a character limit per post. The default for XenForo is 10,000 characters per post. I don't recall whether we went with the default, or if we increased it. Possibly @EricF knows the answer to this one.

I took a photo of Vega through my telescope a few months ago and have started to index the image into panels. In one panel I found the below image. You can see that the outline of the hull does break up against the backdrop of the other energy that is surrounding it.

Original image unedited. The vessel is in the middle. The fluff around it must be dust or other matter reflecting the light in the image. You can also see that the image has depth. The artifacts closer to the lens are brighter while the depth or darkness increases to a darker red to an almost gray color then total darkness.

The below images is a collage that I made of the object in the middle that is based on Starfleet scout vessel types. The panels that I have are over 1,500, 100 pixels by 100 pixels. Definitely stirs the imagination into what is taking place in the photo and at Vega as well as out there in deep space.

So this post might be useful in a different forum part and tread with something about the topic that you have posted... yes? and then there it might be exposed to people there that would read this.. --- and have comments that are of this topic. - and probably be able to manage to know more of what you are talking about in these images.. right? I am not sure of these --- details or there exact meaning of what is going on with them? --- Is this the deep space probe that is Vega or is this .. something from the Telescope, that is in space? just a little confusion but --- I am attempting to figure out what is going on.. thanks for any help that you can give in clearing up what is happening here.??? OK

TESS-A half-awoke from her biolation chamber, for the fusion fires which powered Ship of the Imagination had run low. It was her turn, now, to refuel the craft—a task the ship’s computer could easily have done. She looked for the nearest nebula.

Dinklage-B was her home—a shell world designed to mitigate the flares from its star—TRAPPIST-1.

TESS-A thought herself something of a “pop-culture maven.” She loved to look at her version of a stellar classification chart—where the CGI character of Tyrion Lannister talked about her hobbit-hole homeworlds—nestled close to their hearth-like fusion fires.

On the other side of the chart, was the Gandalf like Wizenard, as played by CG Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

His character was somber as he spoke about how giant stars shine so very, painfully bright—that they last half so long as they should.

Tess’ called up the ship’s CGI astrophysicist. She stared at Neil's mustache, as she did so often.

“Are you sure you didn’t play Lando Calrissian?”

No, Child. This isn’t going to be another debate about Pluto again, is it?

“No. I was just wondering about this nebula we are getting our hydrogen from.”

Oh, that’s easy. It used to be called Betelgeuse very long ago. It’s death throes began in late January of 2020, after which it went supernova—where it shone even in the daylight—but only for a very short time.

As such, it was named Kobe’s Star.

So yeah the fractal work in Mandelbulber 2 it is fun If I can ever figure out how to "fly" or move thru the fractal space. or spaces? anyway these are from tonite about a minute to make the single image using the OpenCl rendering --- it goes very fast.. mmmm 1 minute images.. --- OK I hope to mix up the color palette soon-- the green is like massively way too much in some of this.
