Could there be a Borg King?

I don't mind spiders at all. Having assimilated spiders in my brains would be the least of my worries. Certainly much better than having assimilated footballers.

Didn't you always want to know what they were thinking?

Plus they will look soooo stupid with their silly "my hands, they are touching a wall" motions when their hands are huge metal borg claws.

Now that would me my nightmare.

I think the worst hell is probably too small of an assimilation group, at least if you're in the whole hive you don't hear the same things over and over and over.

Kryten "Rene DeScartes said that hell was spending eternity with your friends."

Lister "Well he would say that, all his friends were French."

I read a fanfic online once where the Borg went back in time and assimilated Kirk at the end of his life and he became Borg Prime.

Drones do the heavy lifting. Many copies of each drones conciousness is fed into the collective to live digitally. There's a flow of information between the drone conciousness and the digital consciousnesses...It's just a question of how fair the work load is upon the digital conciousness and what a vacation inside the collective is like? or are there copies of the digital conciousness constantly forever on holiday who feed their life/memories into all the other consiousnesses?

Doesn't sound too much worse than 70 years reliving your memories in the Nexus.

What would happen to the (some) Borg if they got trapped in the Nexus?

Since it shows you what you want I assume they would spend a whole lot of time assimilating things. Or they would experience getting back to the Collective since that would be their imperative once separated.

Assimilation makes them more perfect because they only assimilate from desirable stock.

There's going to come a time when there's no one worth assimilating left.

Is their bag "assimilating" or "revelling in their own perfection"?

Perfection. They assimilate and assimilate and assimilate and each individual and race adds more to the perfection, just a tiny bit more over and over so that the drive is always there to continue to assimilate. I'm wondering though if it's like making a master stock and there's always a danger one day there will just be too much of one flavor and the perfection levels you had the day before will be tainted. Or perhaps that happened to the Borg a long time ago.

The kazon can't be the only race that would diminish the Borgs perfection.

Negative perfection.

The more perfect they become the higher their standards, the higher the bar is raised, the less species they will accept into their collective until every unassimilated species (of which there must be thousands and thousands) in the galaxy is too pathetic to align with the Borg.
