Costume Revealed - BBC Breakfast 8:45 Tomorrow!

He looks absolutely perfect to play a character once played by Peter Davison ... now he just needs to go to Yorkshire, roll up his sleeves and stick his arm up a cow's arse!!

This is worse than Colin Baker's day-glow monstrosity!!!

Haha, oh really? :p

I've been looking at it for a while now and now that the shocks settled in it isn't actually quite that bad! It very first or second Doctor like, as is the updated Tardis. I think that this is the 'retro' image that Moffat is intentionally aiming for. I reckon that the new Tardis interior is going to be just as retro, harking back to the 60's as well. :techman:

We can hope! :techman:

Yes! I just won a last-minute bet that the 11th Doctor's outfit was probably going to be something someone far older than Smith would actually wear.

I really like it a lot and the Doc Martins adds enough whimsy to the outfit without it looking too over the top, IMO. I think the 11th Doctor is going to be a very fun one myself.

The way I see it, the Doctor's fashion sense has always been out of step and more than a little behind the times, and I'm glad Smith's Doctor will continue that trend.
:bolian:

Well I did manage to remember to log on during work to see 11 in his new togs. I like it. I like the old fashioned look. I think Matt Smith has an "old" look to him and I think it suits the outfit. He looks college professorish. I like the boots, too. They look like something that 9 might have worn. A :techman: from me.

It's okay, I guess. He still looks way too young and absurd for me but I do have a lot of faith that Moffat will pull it off.

It's, erm, I don't know. I really don't know. Maybe it's character driven, there might be a perfectly good reason for the combination. It's certainly a step away from RTD's vision, so whether that's a good thing or not is down to personal preference.

Maybe the light bulb was out in the walk in wardrobe in the TARDIS ;)

If my heart ever stops breaking for the loss of DT as the doctor, I might think that the outfit looks.. alright.

I posted this picture in the "new tardis" thread to compare the old tardis vs the new but this picture is also one of the many good shots of Tennant as the Doctor

*sigh* four years and he has to leave :( The suit and everything are just cool on him

Ofcourse when Ecchelston left I was a bit sad. He was the first doctor I got to watch thanks to the new series.

God save us from Tennant worshipers.

The show's bigger than any one temporary actor, let along an annoying Mockney git who ran out of interesting things to do with his character long ago.

Tennant was great other then the sound of his voice... didn't like his shouting and squeeling.

im pretty sure that when/if the new series Doctors ever get made into BigFinish audio plays, Tennant will far outsell any of the other Doctors, ok Christopher Eccleston will refuse to do any 9th Doctor audios, but the other Doctors just will not compare.

and if John Barrowman & Billie Piper can be tempted, so much the better.
