On PBS "Blink" was showing. The "Confidential" was Tennant visiting BBC studios. He interviewed Moffat and Moffat said his foundest memories were of Troughton.

Is this really the work of the Steven Moffat who gave us "Blink"?
The day Moffat was announced as the new showrunner, I knew people would eventually start lamenting something like that the instant he made a decision they didn't like.
As for me...
It's okay. It doesn't rock my world, but it's not awful, either. I tend to prefer that the Doctor look a little rougher, a little more down to Earth -- my favorite Doctor costume is the Ninth Doctor's (just like Nine is my favorite Doctor). But this isn't awful, either. It does convey a sense of eccentricity and of age even in a very young body.
If that's what the TARDIS is going to look like in Series Five, though, I have to say I think it looks rubbish. The current TARDIS prop is perfect.

All I'm really seeing are that people aren't hooting and hollering over it, and why should they be? Like I said, none of the other Doctor's costumes have been anything outlandish at all. They're all things you can essentially see someone in everyday life wearing. 15' long scarves, celery and ??????? everywhere, this is not.

In my defense, I haven't watched all the episodes of the old series. However, the bowtie suits him rather well.Yup, now it's me again.

I like it. Typical Doctor outfit, relatable to the classic fans and JUST out of place enough in the modern day.
The only thing IMO that would make this outfit complete would be a vest, which he'd be able to wear with the coat on or off. Even so, this will do quite nicely. We only now need to see him in action. Come on, March/April 2010!

I could see that. After all, the Ninth had different shirts he wore under his coat, the Tenth had various suits, different colored shoes, etc.
