It wasn't just the food, though. It was the lighting and music and all. He was pretty obviously trying to create a romantic environment while meeting with a professional associate (I apologize in advance if I'm confusing this with another episode).
If I invited a coworker to my home and dimmed the lights, had music playing, and had made a food I thought they might enjoy because I'd done research into it without just asking them, I wouldn't be at all surprised if I heard from HR in due time.

The thing about the Geordi/Leah story that I find worst of all is that they chose to name drop her in "All Good Things..." and say that she and Geordi were married now. Yeah, yeah, I know they didn't give her last name and it could have been another Leah and all that, but c'mon. Director of the Daystrom Institute? Clearly we're talking about the same woman here. And the idea that after all Geordi did they would end up getting married, after she presumably dumped her existing husband who she was married to while Geordi was doing all that? That's just wrong on so many levels.
While I agree that Geordi and Leah ending up together in the end doesn't really sit well with me given the events of "Galaxy's Child", I think it would be more charitable to assume that Leah's husband passed away or they separated for other reasons, rather than jumping to her dumping him to be with Geordi.
Meh, for better or worse they ended friendly at the end of Galaxy's Child. If they did fall in love later on, the "holodeck incident" would be a weird meet-cute story.
