I think the bit where she points the first officers chair (though I think the article says second) pretty much makes it obvious.
And this is a problem for you because...?
Those were not really first officers. They had other titles just like Spock had the title of Science Officers and did not experience the blow up
Dunno. I saw Beltran several years ago, in fact got to sit and talk with him for an hour (he did the talking,) and he looked pretty damned good.
I know you have the picture online, but I saw him in person. Nothing wrong with his looks.
Then again, I'm a 50 year old woman, so I find men in their 50s to be rather attractive. I can see where the 20-something crowd would find him to be ancient.

The only reason I stopped to watch the show was because I recognized him as I was channel surfing.
I didn`t think that he`s fat. He got older, yes, but I think he`s still good looking.

God, that article is a pain in the ass to read.
He's what? 55, 56? Something like that. I think he still looks good (and I'm sorry I missed him on Big Love - meant to watch that episode), but like Bonz, I'm no longer all that young myself, so no doubt that makes a difference. I think letting himself age is preferable to the ridiculous extremes some actors go to to remain youthful. And sooner or later, they all fail.
And by the way, I never liked Riker. Frakes, sure - seems like a nice guy - but when people complain about how "wooden" Chakotay was, I think to myself, "And what was Riker? Mr. Personality?"
And that pic surely isn't from the show. I've been seeing it around for a year or two now. (I know you didn't say or imply that, Kryton, but it seemed to me that some of the subsequent posters were under the impression it was. Could be wrong, of course. Thanks for the screen cap, Mareika. Darn, I wish I had seen the episode.)
