^^^I remember really liking this one, watched it a couple of times. But now? I could barely tell you what the episode was about. I think that is one of my issues, nothing really sticks as special.
You just described how I feel about TNG in general.

What makes those more implausible than other Trek tech? Or is it more how it is presented in the show?I also struggle with roller coaster turbo-lifts, the red angel suit, time-crystals et.al
Nope, not everyone. I can live with those scenes and headcanonize the empty spaces as room for mission specific modules, like the Ent-D had according to the tech manual. And if they made the ship look too big inside, then gotta remember that turbolift scenes in all Trek series took way too long in relation to distances supposedly traveled.Yes, the roller-coaster turbolifts are an obscenity. On that everyone can agree.

I wouldn't got that far. It's just easily ignored for me.Yes, the roller-coaster turbolifts are an obscenity. On that everyone can agree.

I disagree!Yes, the roller-coaster turbolifts are an obscenity. On that everyone can agree.
I just ignore this bit and pretend the ship has normal turbo shafts.Yes, the roller-coaster turbolifts are an obscenity. On that everyone can agree.
If I had the time and motivation, I'd model the Discovery in 3D with the rooms and corridors we see all being around the exterior windows and see just how much interior space we'd have in Hollow Discovery.Disco can be mostly empty, and the Enterprise can be before the refit that doubles its crew![]()
I mean, a modular design makes the most sense.Disco can be mostly empty, and the Enterprise can be before the refit that doubles its crew![]()
Ok, so I was right about Spiner already. Who's really next? Is Spock Prime still alive? They wouldn't dare CGI Nimoy. Quinto with aging CG? Gonna roll the dice and say Quark. They already shouted him out. How about a 300-year-old T'Pau? "Roykah!"
I disagree!
Love 'em.

Someone I was talking to the other day started calling Star Trek from 1966 to 2005 "Legacy Trek". In the same vain, maybe it makes sense to start calling Star Trek in the current era "Streaming Trek". That works as a good way to tell the two apart.
NuTrek is still NuTrek and on "hiatus".
Normally I'm not a fan of Billy Joel but, in this case, I think this song of his fits.If doing that makes people happy, by all means. To me, it's all Star Trek.
