So, you could say:Axanar financials to be shown at Axacon:

He settled before anyone that really mattered could see them as well..........I am sure whatever is on display with be a pencil whipped set of hot books that he won't anyone look THAT close at. It will be enough to satisfy the faithful that are already shelling out to attend. He'll let convention attendees look at the financials but not donors? What's up with that? Donors should not have to travel to Atlanta and attend a con to view those. The more I hear about these shenanigans the more I just don't get why it's being managed the way it is. I got off the Axanar bandwagon right after I read the last annual report, and I don't regret it.
Reminds me of something..........IT IS NOT THE AXANAR FINANCIALS!
It's a book of carefully curated receipts, minus any expenses that Alec "reimbursed" Axanar for, and Alec will be hanging over the table for the TWO HOURS they will be displayed.
This is a stunt, plain and simple, with no more authenticity or transparency than a super-PAC's campaign ad.
You know what kills me about that picture?Reminds me of something..........

Spend (waste) a few hours watching C-Span coverage of Congressional speeches. DC is all about the kabuki, and has been for a looong time. Some file folders and a few reams of paper is bush league, no pun intended. You know what kills me about that picture?
The fact that all the files (and papers within) are BRAND SPANKIN' NEW.
Like they couldn't drag out some old files no one cared about and stack them up - no, they literally had some intern open up a few boxes of brand new folders and stick blank paper in them. Hilarious.
And that's all I got to say about thatYeah, let's hold the politics at bay (mainly because we are all inundated with it so much these days), please.

LOWERING EXPECTATIONS Axacon has only sold "a couple dozen [tickets] so far,” Alec Peters has revealed. Yet despite the expected loss of thousands of dollars to stage the event, Peters continues to justify the cost. Read the updated AxaMonitor article »
SILENCING AXANAR CRITICS Remember when Alec Peters blamed his PR director, Mike Bawden, for denying access to Axanar's financial records? Turns out Mike remembers that conversation somewhat differently: "That’s an interesting take on my advice to Alec. Not entirely the tone I used," Bawden told AxaMonitor. Also, don't miss the advice Bawden gave Peters on how to silence his critics — advice Peters has so far proved unwilling or unable to take. Read more »
