Interesting how SL can presumably conceive, fund and film a fan film within a year and AP has been working on it for what 7 years or something. Hummm

Sounds pretty great. I might actually donate to Lane's project even with the risk of AP getting his grubby paws on that cash, just to see JL accomplish something that LFIM couldn't.

I'm led to understand that Peters helped him get Fan Film Factor started, which is giving the guy something to do in between dad duties.

Actually Mike Badwen (when he was a Peters sycophant), helped J. Lane start Fan Film Factor (Alec Peters probably has the same 'knowledge' of HTML that he does of Lawyering or Fan Film making.)
Oh, I didn't realize that Fan Film Factor was actually started by people from Axanar, that explains why he's so fixated on it. I had thought it had been around a lot longer that, and that Lane had just developed some kind of obsession with it and Alec Peters.

It was originally a page on the main axanar website. Then Bawden helped lane spin it off to its own website

Gotta wonder how that will go over if SL manages to fundraise for, and produce, a fan film while LFIM just sits there with his junk in his hand after $2M and several facilities for years. And if it gets weird there as they plan to film together, SL gets closer, and LFIM knows he won't be fulfilling his end. Does he sabotage it, or keep helping out and ignore the questions about how SL managed on less but LFIM still hasn't produced? How does that play out? It's fascinating...

Burnett Strikes Back

In today's AxaMonitor Daily: Putting the lie to producer Alec Peters’ bogus victory claim last week, former Axanar director Robert Meyer Burnett strikes back with two legal filings in Georgia state court:
  1. An answer to Peters’ legal complaint.
  2. A motion to dismiss the case based on multiple flaws in the complaint, including spelling Burnett’s name wrong.
We summarize Burnett’s replies in two pleadings in today’s newsletter.

We also have full copies of the pleadings Burnett filed last Friday available for download in today’s AxaMonitor Daily, to which you’re welcome to subscribe.

Yes, exactly what I was trying to convey in my post#2983 above! :)

There's no guarantee that SL will accomplish anything either. If you want to throw away your money, I'll take it.

Part 2 - The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind - The answer is blowin' in the wind...
