And considering there were some lawsuits flying around between the two them recently (that happened, yes?), I find this whole development somewhat confusing.

Not Lane, you're thinking of Axanar director to be Robert Meyer Burnett, or Alec's former publicist Mike Bawden. Jonathan Lane's lips have yet to part from Peters' anus. And considering there were some lawsuits flying around between the two them recently (that happened, yes?), I find this whole development somewhat confusing.![]()
The other thing that amazes me is that he got someone as well known, well at least in the comic book crowd, as Paul Jenkins involved in Axanar so late in the game. I would love to see someone interview Jenkins and find out how aware he is of Axanar and Alec Peters' history.
I can't remember which one, but I saw that there are some issues written by Jenkins in one of the series I'm reading, and I have to admit, his involvement with Axanar has made me a bit hesitant to read his issues. I probably will, just because I don't want to miss anything important, but I still did kind of pause for a moment when I saw his name under "writer".
That's pretty much always the justification with Star Trek and Star Wars and the like.Yeah, I have a had time reconciling Jenkins’s owner owned comics position with him being comfortable stealing someone else’s IP. Maybe he’s fine stealing from a corporation. Maybe that’s how he justifies it.
AXANAR CHEAT SHEET!Ah! Thank you - I get them confused. At this point, it’s like saying the same word over and over again and it loses its meaning - so too does it go for all the people swirling around the continuing Axanar drama. After a while, they all look the same to me.
AXANAR CHEAT SHEET!
- Alec Peters = Grifter in chief
- Terry McIntosh = IT turncoat
- Robert Meyer Burnett = Directorial turncoat
- Mike Bawden = PR turncoat
- Jonathan Lane = obsequious sycophant/hanger-on
I'm led to understand that Peters helped him get Fan Film Factor started, which is giving the guy something to do in between dad duties. What exactly is Lane and Peters relationship? Are they lifelong friends or related or something? I'm just wondering why Lane seems to be so completely devoted to Peters, even as practically everyone else around him is turning on him.
Actually Mike Badwen (when he was a Peters sycophant), helped J. Lane start Fan Film Factor (Alec Peters probably has the same 'knowledge' of HTML that he does of Lawyering or Fan Film making.)I'm led to understand that Peters helped him get Fan Film Factor started, which is giving the guy something to do in between dad duties.
This is a situation that requires a light touch. Let Alec Peters do the work for us. I don't think Mr. Lane would respond well to criticism of someone he evidently still respects.Jonathan Lane = SPOILERS.... soon to be turncoat.
Ummm...what?This is a situation that requires a light touch. Let Alec Peters do the work for us. I don't think Mr. Lane would respond well to criticism of someone he evidently still respects.
Oh, I forgot who I was talking to.Ummm...what?
He hasn't, and he won't, if and/or until he starts to make actual progress on his project and is inevitably stonewalled by Alec, who can't stand to see anyone outpace him but never seems to take measures to keep that from happening.I don't think Mr. Lane would respond well to criticism of someone he evidently still respects.
