I binged it, too. It's really got a more s1 vibe to it which I am glad to see back. S2 got too serious for my tastes and I don't think the vlog style fit the story they tried telling in s2. It felt too contrived to have everyone dropping by Laura's front parlor to have the action happen. I also appreciate getting more of the campy vibe and not over doing the villains. I am puzzled how Danny and Theo got in but the Dean can't, though.
Papa Hollis showing up with the bear spray was hilarious. I really appreciate LaFontaine this season. Kaitlyn seems to be having a lot of fun with the part. Hollstein is really great fun to watch. From the comedy to the tentative relationship building, to table sex, Elise and Nat are just great fun. I really enjoyed seeing Mattie back. I guess she wants to stay of the Dean's radar letting the Dean think she's still dead.
I really am interested in the Summerian mythology aspect. The Dean is Inanna, cool. I guess there may be some more Ghostbuster references like Carmilla calling LaFontaine Holzman at one point. Good stuff.
