Carmilla the series

There is also Apuleius and 'The Golden Ass' where a young lout of a guy tries a shape shifting spell and gets turned into an ass. Isis intervenes and changes him back in the end. The show has been playing with myths a lot as well, so maybe something along that vein, a Circe perhaps, could be involved. She did have a thing for turning men into animals. A second thing is owls. First season had an owl lamp by Laura's bed, and she wore an owl sweater from time to time, and here there is an owl statue on the table. It's a nice little set continuity, but will it be meaningful?

Are you saying that the Dean is really a Greek Goddess disguising herself as an evil vampire so she can turn men into animals for kicks?

I definitely got a Pinnochio vibe from that ep, but, yeah, "The Odyssey" and "Midsummer Night's Dream" apply too.

And speaking of literary references, the reference by Carmilla to the library planning their gruesome book related deaths was a funny reference to 'Carmilla'. Carmilla's death obviously gruesome, and Laura's under mysteriously hinted circumstances.

The Dean is in trouble, too. This is interesting. The story seems to be getting somewhere at last. Some background on Mel, and I liked the callback to Carmilla's being accused of being a vampire and her denial with the is Perry a real witch but just covering it up by acting incompetent. I wish they hadn't taken so long getting the story going, though. Anyway, the new episode is up.

I just posted it but thanks.

Hmm... I'm torn between believing Perry and not.

Kirsh is taking this donkey transformation quite well.

Your posts were posted 1 minute apart.

It's possible that you two could'a been twinsies mirroring each others actions perfectly like an evil reflection.

From what I've seen, there is no difference.

Wait. I'm the evil one? Just because my username has Janeway in it, and she was evil in an alternate reality, one time?

Bit of a stretch, don't you think?

Your avatar is Carmilla. A vampire known to feast on tasty human necks.

Just sayin'

They're both adorkable.
