When I first saw that on Superherohype yesterday I thought that he was going to play someone like Doctor Sivana in the 'Shazam!' film since the Rock is doing a solo Black Adam film instead. It was only when I clicked on the link that I realised that they were talking about 'the other Captain Marvel film'.

I'm kind of amazed we've gotten as far into the MCU as we have, and had so many characters connected to him appear, and yet we still haven't gotten a version of Rick Jones.

I didn't realize he was that closely associated with The Hulk. I just know I've seen the name come up a lot while looking around on Wikipedia and the Marvel Comics Database.

Besides, it's entirely speculation that this character is even Rick Jones anyways.

DeWanda Wise has been cast in Captain Marvel. Baseless fanboy speculation has her potentially playing Monica Rambeau.

Well, she looks the part and Monica Rambeau used to be called Captain Marvel, so I wouldn't go as far as to say baseless, but it's certainly still a stab in the dark.
