No doubt it was mangled, but the Wiki I read told of things I don't truly need to see, and the tone is already so dark, it makes me shudder. I actually found myself angry at Miyoko, her fate aside, for not speaking up sooner if she had doubts about harassing Hiroko, til JM1776 wisely spoke to me of Germans who may not have wanted to be Nazis, but speaking up was death, and with Aki Honda's temperament, its not too hard to see her going there. I fight the urge to say Aki deserved her fate, or Hiroko's parents theirs, but their coldness and calculation, though starting from different directions, shredded a girl's soul to the point that murdering her best friend's father seemed like a good idea. And that's before everything else. Darkly compelling, but this is one accident I find I can and will turn away from.
