Building the Eaglemoss Enterprise-D partwork

I am not building this model, nor have I seen imgs of the construction methods so I don't know how these attachment points are designed, or the material used. But going from experience, one thing I think of... is it possible the screw holes are stripped?

You could try this if applicable, it's what I would do to fix stripped holes.

Get some hard drying epoxy or chalking safe for that material. Fill the holes. Dry and sand smooth. Drill out holes to size slightly smaller than screws. Reattach.

So, I've been playing about fixing the light leaks and after gluing the windows in place with black glue. I've decided to go the resin route. I've bought some UV Resin and a UV light now. My first test didn't go well as I was tired and I didn't think about the bubbles however the windows do look amazing. So as long as I get the bubbles out first the windows will look really good.

Finally got number 34 through over the weekend so I've been playing catch up. Saucer is starting to come together nicely although the OCD freak in me doesn't like how I've only got about three parts for the phaser array so far.

I think I've damaged the wiring in the switch for the cobra head though, so I'll need to ask Eaglemoss nicely if I can have another sent out.

B0DF9FF3-33D8-4661-A9FA-D8DDAAF1829B.jpeg Ok so the first stage of my new pieces allowed me to finish off the top of the saucer section. That’s as far as I have got today. Put the panel on behind the shuttle bay, the phaser array and finally the bridge section. When the bridge is screwed in to place (with many screws!) it kind of all pulls the panels together and locks them in to place better, it stops any movement or creaks as the model is moved. :bolian:
Here is a link to a video, I’m not sure if this link will work…

@Timofnine Looking forward to more pics of ridiculously expensive things that I envy with every iota of my soul.
I would never encourage anyone to purchase anything that they can not afford, that is a slippery slope. I can only just afford this model myself, but I have cut down on other ‘habitual’ purchases in order to afford it. I don’t smoke, drink occasionally…. So this model is my vice, my guilty pleasure. I spend ten minutes on it every day after work to help me relax and unwind. :bolian:

I've been purchasing Games Workshop stuff for 30 years. I know all about expensive vices.

I do love to see pictures of nice things though, that's all I really wanted to express.
