I have done the see a movie twice in the theater thing (I think the last one with Arrival) but that's a lot of money to spend to go see a movie 4-6 times.

I did end up going to see Superman twice. My daughter and I went to see it the Sunday morning following the Thursday preview we went to.

I saw Avengers six times in the theater, and I've probably seen Star Wars in the theater at least that many times given how many times it's been released in my lifetime.

Any future Marvel movies will not make what they used to make.

One of them, a Marvel movie, was smack dab in the midst of the pandemic.
The other one, Deadpool & Wolverine, was just last year.

And for every one of those there are at least two or three other major movies that only did a fraction of the money they were supposed to make. Like I said before this downward trend is not just a superhero thing, it's an industry wide thing.
