And right on cue, Lalo finally reemerges...in Germany? When he said he knew where to find proof, I never would've thought of Werner's widow. I'm not quite sure what he's after or how the slide rule memento plays into it, but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.
Meanwhile, back in New Mexico, Kim is very much on the edge, practically petrified at the thought that Lalo might show up in the middle of the night...and yet she still hasn't told Jimmy that he's still alive, even when she had the perfect opportunity to confide in him. I'm curious to see how long she's going to sit on that knowledge and how it'll fester inside of her. I worry it's going to lead to her making an egregious mistake, whether it's with hers and Jimmy's long game against Howard or one of her pro bono cases.
And Howard. As soon as Cliff confronts him, Howard figures out the truth. Or at least part of the truth. He knows Jimmy is behind it all and immediately confronts him in the most Howard way possible. Problem is he blinded by the motivation. But at least he made the right choice in hiring a PI...although I can't help but wonder if Jimmy and Kim anticipate him doing that considering they believe Howard won't see the next big move against him.
On a side note, and this is probably just me, but seeing Howard in his boxing gear, backlit at the boxing ring, with his ridiculously gelled hair, I suddenly saw Roy Batty. Same hair, same shape of the face, almost the same eyes. "Time to die..."
