Best line in star trek hstory

Two favourites. First from TSFS -

Kirk: My God Bones, what have I done?

Bones: You did what you had to do, what you've always done. Turn death into a fighting chance to live.

And from TWOK

"Of all the souls I have encountered, his was the most human." It's not the line so much as the way Shatner delivers it, the way he chokes up as he says human.

Favorite non-mentioned line:

Janeway - "Get the cheese to sickbay."

Another Janeway - "We're Starfleet Officers. Weird is part of the job."

I don't like Voyager very much but one of my favourite lines is:

You were working for her, Seska was working for them. Was anyone on board that ship working for me?

It sits there looking at me, and I don't know what it is. This case has dealt with metaphysics, with questions best left to saints and philosophers. I am neither competent, nor qualified, to answer those. I've got to make a ruling – to try to speak to the future. Is Data a machine? Yes. Is he the property of Starfleet? No. We've all been dancing around the basic issue: does Data have a soul? I don't know that he has. I don't know that I have! But I have got to give him the freedom to explore that question himself. It is the ruling of this court that Lieutenant Commander Data has the freedom to choose.

And, while more a speech than a line (;)), the preceding;

"Your honor, the courtroom is a crucible; in it, we burn away irrelevancies until we are left with a purer product: the truth, for all time. Now sooner or later, this man [Maddox] – or others like him – will succeed in replicating Commander Data. The decision you reach here today will determine how we will regard this creation of our genius. It will reveal the kind of people we are; what he is destined to be. It will reach far beyond this courtroom and this one android. It could significantly redefine the boundaries of personal liberty and freedom: expanding them for some, savagely curtailing them for others. Are you prepared to condemn him [Data] – and all who will come after him – to servitude and slavery? Your honor, Starfleet was founded to seek out new life: well, there it sits! Waiting. You wanted a chance to make law, well here it is; make it a good one."

My four personal favourites:

Spock (in The Motion Picture): "Jim...This simple feeling is beyond V'ger's comprehension."

Spock (The Wrath of Khan): "I have been, and always shall be, your friend."

Spock (The Search for Whoever-That-Guy-Was): "Jim...Your name is Jim."

Lal (The Offspring): "I love you, Father."

*sniffle sniffle*

So many too choose from!!

I always hope for the best, but experience has taught me to expect the worst! (Garak)

Even in the darkest moments you can always find something to make you smile. (Sisko)

The more things change, the more they stay the same (Quark)

These aren't my colours!! (Q)

Your child is throwing a tantrum Mr. Spock. - McCoy

Let's see what's out there. - Kirk

Aye, the haggis is in the fire fore sure. - Scotty

I've always liked this one from Scotty from "A Taste of Armageddon".

Scott: Open a channel, Lieutenant. This is the commander of the U.S.S. Enterprise. All cities and installations on Eminiar 7 have been located, identified, and fed into our fire control system. In one hour and forty-five minutes, the entire inhabited surface of your planet will be destroyed. You have that long to surrender your hostages.
TOS never pussy-footed around.

In an early VOY episode, where Chakotay finds two of his Maquis officers plotting:

"If I ever hear you talk that way again, I will personally throw you in the brig for mutiny!"

"There are four lights..."

"Zero...Zero...Zero...Destruct...Zero"

"Everybody remember where we parked..."
