^ On the other hand, I also like baseball. Maybe that's why Sisko comes into it now and then.![]()
Not me, I'm more of an engineer/builder type and I voted Sisko. I think the chart goes something like this:So who's going to be the beggar who scuppers my connection?![]()
Kirk - The soldier
Picard - The diplomat
Sisko - The builder
Janeway - The scientist
Archer - The... gazelle?![]()
Thinking this way, it makes sense that I prefer Picard. He's interested in the "human" sciences--anthropology, archeology. He's a diplomat. It's people that fascinate him.
That's me, too.![]()
That does make sense. So I'm primarily a science thinker, and I like Janeway best. Praetor groks building, so he likes Sisko. Teya's into human sciences and she goes for the captain that personifies those.
Am I seeing a trend here?
Anyone else want to chime in, or provide a counter-example?
Most of the votes for Janeway have more to do with her gender than her mental capabilities. Thus its refreshing to see that someone has a legitimate reason.

WTF? How incredibly insulting.
Many times on this board, the issue of gender discrimination/sexism has been brought up, and shot down immediately. Yet here's another prime example of it.
Many of Janeway's fans are women. I voted for Janeway for a myriad of reasons. I am capable of critical thinking and other higher forms of rational thought. Janeway's importance to me, and I would bet 'most' who like her, is based on more than *just* the fact that she is a woman.
If that is what you are trying to say, I agree with you.
But, if whether or not you see my reasons as 'legitimate' has any relation to her gender, and possibly how it relates to my gender, then I'm insulted.
