Best and Worst of Star Trek: Picard

i'm about to finish season 1

for me the worst: the blonde girl and raffi. i hate both of them. the blonde girl is too much of a cry baby. raffi is a despicable character. constantly talking down and insulting picard and shes a junkie to add to that. but overall i dont think the show is THAT bad. i just think its mid. but i wouldnt say its as bad as lets say star trek discovery.

i mean for a show claiming to be expensive and have bunch of modern CGI all over, they sure dont like to show us important key scenes that they constantly mention. like the attack on mars. when ds9 does that and they do this sort of thing alot (mentioning stuff and never showing it to us) you know its because the lack of budget. here, there isnt any problem with the budget

Which blonde girl are you referring to? Agnes or Seven?

That was featured in Star Trek: Short Treks S2E10 "Children of Mars."

Best: While I agree it ended up being too nostalgia heavy, and I don't think the ending was terribly good, season 3 was far and away the best season. The Changeling infiltration had a level of existential dread that DS9 never really approached (although sadly they somewhat dropped the idea by the end of the season). Season 1 had some interesting ideas as well, but never quite pulled it together, and ended up making just odd decisions

Worst: The lack of a cohesive narrative is probably the worst one. This should've been a show about a retired Picard looking back on his life, but it seems like they wanted to do anything except explore the life of a 80+ year old man, throwing him into complex action plots and schemes. They left a weird blotch on the canon as well, between not exploring Picard's death and turning androids into the very thing TNG warned against. I also really can't stand Raffi. An interesting character on paper, exploring how a character with modern vices would exist in a post-scarcity world, but she never took responsibility for anything she did, and was insufferable
