BATTLESTAR URANTIA - nuBSG FanFilm Series

Lost touch with this thread. The ragtag fleet is coming together nicely. Can't wait to see what Urantia will look like CGI.

Thanks, guys. :)

Sparky,

Anyone who wants to contribute any photos of any kind is most welcome to. The memorial wall on Urantia will be like the one on Galactica... both military and civilian. I am starting with the fan pics of people in uniform for two reasons... one, I'd think that the first people to put photos on the wall would be members of the Urantia crew... photos of fellow shipmates on other ships, etc. And secondly, because as I said... when you see the final filmed scenes, the photos will be small enough on the screen where individual faces won't be able to be made out, but you can tell from the colors and such, that these are Colonial military people.

But I am looking for civilian pics as well... anything anyone wants to send, do so, and if you have any specific Colony you want mentioned, in association with the picture, let me know, and I can work in some dialogue about it in the script.

Well, it's not much yet, but I can show you the first WIP of the Urantia production model...

The modeler tasked with building the Urantia is James Grimstead, and basically we are going for a look for the ship that will be an "in-between" between the Galactica and Pegasus... the ship will have areas of exposed ribbing, upon which will be layers of Pegasus-like armor.

In terms of size, the Urantia is larger than Galactica, but smaller than Pegasus.

Hi, all...

I thought I'd show some of the progress that Alex has been making with his build of the TOS Basestar, which is seen in the opening teaser, and in flashbacks throughout the series. Here are some WIP images he's sent me. He's been working on this for about 2 weeks now.

I am also streamlining the BSU production a bit, by revising what the interiors of Urantia will look like. The CIC and corridors of Urantia will be the same as the CIC on Pegasus, because both Pegasus and Valkyrie shared the same CIC, so I'm going to assume that that is the standard for all new/refitted Colonial ships. Plus, it will speed up the production process a bit, since we won't have to design anything new.

In total now, we have 3 actors on board. More news to come soon.

Thanks.

We have Devin Jacobsen, who will play Castor Amos, who manages the nightclub/casino on the ringship, and Michele Morgen will be playing Tina Standish.

Looks like this is coming along nicely:bolian:

You've got some very impressive stuff so far:)

Thanks... wait until you folks see the Triton-Class Battlestars, from the opening flashback to the First Cylon War! :)

Thanks. :)

Here is a ragtag fleet ship in progress... the Telesto, a freighter designed by nilianth.

Okay... LONG time with no updates, and that is due to many factors, as some things production-wise have changed. But now I can show you some new progress...

We have a new modeler creating the CGI production model of the Battlestar Urantia. nilianth, from Sci Fi Meshes has assumed that task, and here are his first WIP images of the ship under build...

This project is NOT dead. :D More to come...

Aye, I'm sure he'll be on board to visit some of the pilgrims who are visiting Urantia at some point in the story... at the very least, when Standish shows him and Captain Klyne around the ship when the two fleets first join up together.

A childhood dream come true:) all though at the time I was thinking more of a Viler pilot....LOL, But very happy to get onboard at allJ

Hey, good to hear from you, lol... I didn't expect anyone to revive this thread, lol.

Well, as I said before, the project is NOT dead... I'm still working on it, along with some other side projects. Alex has promised me some new updates on the Urantia model soon... he says the ship is pretty much done, and that only details remain.

I will post something as soon as I have it. :D
